[Well, someone took the bait last week, and now two people (if either of them could really be called a person) are dead. Not only that, it seems like your first host is now out of commission and replaced by someone who claims to be The Phantom. While he may not be incredibly worse than Facilier yet, it would be a stretch to say he's an improvement.

But, things aren't all bad! When the guests wake up on Sunday, they will find the stairs in the foyer are now open, leading to a whole new floor to explore!

And there's booze so no one will have to drink vinegar anymore.

That's putting it lightly! Music is pretty much my entire life. I nearly lost my mind last week, with only those buttons and cooking pots.

[she idly strums a guitar she's holding-- and immediately grimaces.]

I wonder how long these poor things have just been sitting here, all alone... [she is super showing more empathy for instruments than she has people?]

Probably too long. You see that dust...? Ugh. ...I didn't realize, though, what do you play?

Just about anything I can get my hands on. I mostly play the guitar, though-- and sing. Jazz. I've been told I'm not half bad at either.

Oooh... Maybe you can play for everyone! Nothing like some singing to raise spirits.

Well, I mean, I don't know, if you want me to perform for everybody every single day every chance I get, I can't refuse a direct request, I'd sure hate to disappoint--

Freddie, please play for everyone. [ don't decide this for them???? ] And, hey, if you ever feel like a duet...

Duet? [alright, you got her attention.] What've you got?

Well, no specialty in jazz, but there's some guitar and backup vocals in here.

[ oh is it time for a jam session? c: ]

Well, you can't just drop something like that on me and not back it up!

Well, if I have to...

[ She does seem rather excited about singing but once she gets the guitar......kind of tuned, the only song that jumps out at her is a personally awkward one-

and she just kind of goes for it, short little thing, high folksy voice ]

[after she's done, she definitely gets some applause.]

Very cool. It suits you, that style! [she accepts all music styles she doesn't just listen to musicals] Did you come up with that, or is it a popular song from wherever you're from?

[ Kim smiles and tucks some hair behind her ear after putting the guitar down, a little nervously. ]

Oh, um, I wrote it! The melody's all me, but a friend helped me on the lyrics.

Well, yeah, I'd say so. I've known Zack since...gosh, since we were both just little things. He's a buddy.

Ohmygod, Zack? [ she starts laughing ] Oh, never! He really is just a friend, dating him would be weird!

That's what they all say. Deny it all right up 'til the end, and then-- bam. Dating. [SHE KNOWS HOW YOU PEOPLE WORK]

Really! [ this idea is just really funny to her?? ] He's like my brother.

Gross. But, hey, I don't judge.

Ew! [ She rolls her eyes, exaggerated. ] Alright, smarty-pants, if you're gonna question me, I'm gonna question you. Any friends who aren't just friends?

I barely even like copping to having friends in the first place. Relationships are a little complicated on the Isle.

[okay that sounds like a good non-answer]

Complicated in what way? I know so little about how you lived before here. Like, what's the Isle? What makes dating so complicated there?

[ Kim gets comfortable. ]

Half of us barely like each other, and none of us trust each other. It's less like being friends and more like being in gangs.

I've liked a couple of girls in my time-- like-liked, I mean-- but when you're pretty sure holding somebody's hand means their other one is picking your pocket? It makes it hard to focus.

Oh... That's so... But that sounds- [ ...wait.

Kim takes a moment to process, oh, well. Likes girls, that's... Huh! ]

It, um. It just sounds so sad. All of you are just used to that?

That's just life. [shrugs] It's different in Auradon-- maybe better, but definitely different. That's why every VK is pretty much paired off at this point. It's like they were all just waiting around for some nice AK to settle down with or something.
