[Well, someone took the bait last week, and now two people (if either of them could really be called a person) are dead. Not only that, it seems like your first host is now out of commission and replaced by someone who claims to be The Phantom. While he may not be incredibly worse than Facilier yet, it would be a stretch to say he's an improvement.

But, things aren't all bad! When the guests wake up on Sunday, they will find the stairs in the foyer are now open, leading to a whole new floor to explore!

And there's booze so no one will have to drink vinegar anymore.

Well, if all else fails, you can just divert questions 'bout your lineage. Sort of like...

[He raises his voice to a falsetto.]

'Hey, you're name's Facilier. You do voodoo?'

[He then deepens it to a gruff tone.]

'What's your name?'

'Smith.'

'Cool. You gonna make me a sword?'

[snort] If only that'd work at school... I almost got away with it in the Bayou, the second and probably last time I ever went there. Then Ally went and spilled the beans, and, well... I mean, I probably wouldn't wanna be friends with a group of people who thought "beating up this group of teenage girls 'cause one of them is related to somebody who did me wrong" was a great idea in the first place?

[but. y'know know. it still majorly hurt.]

[He pats her on the shoulder, trying to comfort her.]

Sometimes, you just get those sorta people in life, and you gotta deal with 'em. And you know what? You just gotta prove 'em wrong about everythin' they blame you for! And maybe intimidatin' them a little might help.

Like, look at me! I'm a successful jazz gator, even though humans have tried to shoot me countless times!

[Forced laughter ensues.]

That. Is. Definitely not what I meant for you to take away from that. Please do not shoot people! It kills them! Permanently! Or, if it doesn't kill them, it makes 'em bleed out for a very long and painful death!

But you can always punch them I guess. Lightly. Veeery gently.

Oh, good, 'cause I have literally no idea how to shoot a gun. Punching I can do, though!

You got it! I...wouldn't normally recommend punchin' a PERSON really hard. Maybe just like. Punch the wall or smash a plate to intimidate them.

I've always been pretty good at glaring at people hard enough for them to leave me alone, but adults are a bit harder to scare than fellow VKs.

Hm. Adults are a tough one to crack. Too bad you don't have teeth like me--you'd have 'em runnin' in no time!

Maybe you could growl. Dunno if you wanna do that, though.

A good evil laugh might work better than that, and I'm already pretty good at those.

See? You've already got all the stuff you need! You just gotta know when to really push people and when to lay off of it a lil'.

Pfft. I will admit, however, havin' sharp teeth might help with the evil laugh.

There was a time when I was about eight years old that I considered filing my teeth sharp like I did my nails-- luckily talked myself out of that one. Way too tacky.

Plastic fangs will do nicely. Y'know, the ones kids wear around Halloween? Not as permanent as filin' your actual teeth.
