Second Trial

[Once everyone makes it the portrait gallery again, they will hear Randall's voice echo through the room.]

I'm not sure what everyone expected. There are a lot of children here and given the situation it was only a matter of time they started dying.

[Charming.

The floor descends once again as Randall begins his speech.]

Our tour begins here in this gallery where you gaze upon the sweet innocence of youth. Ah, but things are not always as they seem. Can it be this room is actually stretching? And notice this: this chamber has no windows and no doors, which offers you this chilling challenge… to find a way out.

Of course, there’s always my way.

[The floor stops again and doors open to the trial room.

At least the trial room doesn't look terribly different, although there are strange burn marks in the summoning circle now. And now, along with Mim, now Woody and Noby's podium has a lit candle and a voodoo doll resembling them (which is perhaps a little redundant in Woody's case).

Randall is already standing within the summoning circle, holding his stick with Facilier's head on it.]

Now then, I hope everyone has fun today.

[That might be it, he points at the sky tile.

He totally did not suspect the rock, no sir.]
sorrydoods: (That's...not good)

[personal profile] sorrydoods 2018-01-27 07:10 pm (UTC)(link)
[Well, this is a conversation he probably should have been paying attention to.]

Um, I think it might've been a person, actually. There were a bunch of scratch marks on all the bedroom doors, too.

Really? [Okay, that sounds like it could lead somewhere!] Like made with claws?
sorrydoods: (That's...not good)

[personal profile] sorrydoods 2018-01-27 07:19 pm (UTC)(link)
I...don't think so. They were shallow, and...claws would make deep scratch marks, wouldn't they?
not_over_yet: (thinking)

[personal profile] not_over_yet 2018-01-27 08:03 pm (UTC)(link)
It depends both on the claws and the material.
sorrydoods: (wait)

[personal profile] sorrydoods 2018-01-27 08:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Well...it was a wood door, and...that's about it.

Oh, and they were also kinda low to the ground.

[That's probably an important thing to mention.]
hasit: (04)

[personal profile] hasit 2018-01-27 08:07 pm (UTC)(link)
How low, exactly?
sorrydoods: (wait)

Mods?

[personal profile] sorrydoods 2018-01-27 08:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Um, let me think for a second...

[How long were those scratches?]
grimgrinningghosts: (Default)

[personal profile] grimgrinningghosts 2018-01-27 08:13 pm (UTC)(link)
[Each scratch is about an inch or two long!

... Also if you want to know how low they were to the ground, they were incredibly low, just a few inches.]
sorrydoods: (wait)

[personal profile] sorrydoods 2018-01-27 08:16 pm (UTC)(link)
[Thank you!]

They were all an inch or two long, and...I think they were all super low to the ground. Like, only a couple inches off the grounds.

Could either of his pets have made them?
sorrydoods: (Say what dude)

[personal profile] sorrydoods 2018-01-27 08:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, if one was a tornado type thing and the other was a rock, it...doesn't seem very likely that it was either of them.
pinkflip: that is all the time you got to make your point (seven seconds‚ seven seconds)

[personal profile] pinkflip 2018-01-27 08:19 pm (UTC)(link)
[ That question sparks something in Kim, actually. ]

Oh...! Oh, maybe not the scratches, but... Mr. Arrow, didn't you say the foyer was a mess? And Basil, didn't you say Spinny was exhausted? What if that's why? What if she did all that, either during or...after, Noby died?
not_over_yet: (thinking)

[personal profile] not_over_yet 2018-01-27 08:22 pm (UTC)(link)
It's quite possible.

[ And he'd love to stop wondering if Spinny spent all night trying to get help while the rest of them kept sleeping... ]
hasit: (07)

[personal profile] hasit 2018-01-27 08:24 pm (UTC)(link)
She might have picked up some debris and caused the scratches with that...
not_over_yet: (despondent)

[personal profile] not_over_yet 2018-01-27 08:28 pm (UTC)(link)
[ no don't ask why not both, stop that this instant ]
lostbutnotaboy: (Tink)

[personal profile] lostbutnotaboy 2018-01-27 08:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Was there any debris in the hallway?
sorrydoods: (That's...not good)

[personal profile] sorrydoods 2018-01-27 08:35 pm (UTC)(link)
No, I don't think there was anything in the hallway. Just those scratch marks.
bestchefinparis: 3 (3)

[personal profile] bestchefinparis 2018-01-27 08:46 pm (UTC)(link)
...that doesn't fit. If Spinny made those marks, why would she or anyone take the debris away? It should have been found there.
sorrydoods: (what)

[personal profile] sorrydoods 2018-01-27 09:02 pm (UTC)(link)
So...that means she was carrying around the rock? Or not? I'm kinda confused here.

[One or the other. You can't have both.]
astronomics: (06)

[personal profile] astronomics 2018-01-27 08:33 pm (UTC)(link)
... could she have lifted the rock?
hasit: (05)

[personal profile] hasit 2018-01-27 08:42 pm (UTC)(link)
That's not a bad question, but I don't know myself. Does anyone else?
sharpasanarrow: (Default)

[personal profile] sharpasanarrow 2018-01-27 08:32 pm (UTC)(link)
It did look like a hurricane had passed through.
not_over_yet: (thinking)

[personal profile] not_over_yet 2018-01-27 07:16 pm (UTC)(link)
...Spinny was exhausted when I found her. It could potentially have been from her throwing something at the doors... [ ...all night, hoping someone would hear... ]

There'd be no cause for her to scratch the stairs as well, though...
