Second Trial
[Once everyone makes it the portrait gallery again, they will hear Randall's voice echo through the room.]
I'm not sure what everyone expected. There are a lot of children here and given the situation it was only a matter of time they started dying.
[Charming.
The floor descends once again as Randall begins his speech.]
Our tour begins here in this gallery where you gaze upon the sweet innocence of youth. Ah, but things are not always as they seem. Can it be this room is actually stretching? And notice this: this chamber has no windows and no doors, which offers you this chilling challenge… to find a way out.
Of course, there’s always my way.
[The floor stops again and doors open to the trial room.
At least the trial room doesn't look terribly different, although there are strange burn marks in the summoning circle now. And now, along with Mim, now Woody and Noby's podium has a lit candle and a voodoo doll resembling them (which is perhaps a little redundant in Woody's case).
Randall is already standing within the summoning circle, holding his stick with Facilier's head on it.]
Now then, I hope everyone has fun today.

W-why? Kim, I...
[She's suddenly realizes that everyone's got eyes on her.]

[Leia's stepping over to the pair of them, suddenly, looking...remarkably composed. She's very good at that.]
You don't have to do this. Let me help.
[Sometimes being a leader means doing the thing you least want to do. Sometimes being a leader means interrogating a crying little girl for murder.]

I can't just leave her.

Then I'll stay right here. Next to you.
[To make sure you don't pass out.]

For right now, she's just here, and...she's going to hold Jane's hand in her own shaky one. ]

[She checked.
Her shock presses her to act on her own. Reaching down, she lifts one of her feet and... while there's definitely not that much, there is distinctly a bit of blood on the sole of her foot.]

[Was...was she sleepwalking? Is that why she's so confused?]
no subject
[No, no no no. It's not good. She's having trouble breathing.]
It was an accident!

[randy is having fun with you guys!! his friends!!]

I didn't mean to! I was scared! I-
[panicked.]

[You know what's better than being sad? Directing your anger in the wrong direction!]

I know. I know it was. Just...tell us what happened, Jane. Please.

Jane attempts to compose herself, which just shows how shaky she already is. She isn't keeping nearly as calm as the last time they did this.]
...I couldn't sleep. The pounding was too loud so I went for a walk. Noby was up stairs, he was carrying around that... that thing that looked like the sky. Neither of us wanted to be alone up there, so we were going to head back downstairs, and he wanted me to help him carry the rubbish thing.
[she pauses to wipe her eyes on her sleeve. Which is a little damp on close inspection.]
He tripped. He landed on the bottom step and I stumbled after him. I caught myself but I dropped the bloody... [she shakes, her hand in Kim's clenching.]
I tried to check on him, but by then i-it was too late. His pets found us, and I didn't know what to do, so I panicked and ran away, alright?
[By now, Jane's having difficulty staying standing, her entire body wracked with tiny sobs.]

This...this can't be right. W-We, we can't...we can't v-vote because of...because of....
[His voice catches in his throat. Crocodile tears may be fake, but alligator tears? Real as hell.]

[Mabel looks angry, but her hatred isn't directed towards Jane. At least, she's not glaring at the other girl, shr's glaring at the podium. Where everyone will have to vote soon...]
If you say it was an accident, and if it was, we can't... do that! We can't do the voting thing!

[Marco has a feeling Randy over there won't just let them get away with not voting, even if it was an accident.]
