This is fine. It's fine. We're fine.
[Well that was.
Something.
Underneath everyone’s door they’ll find a slip of paper, in shaky calligraphy, that reads:
INVITATION
Meet in the Dining Room.
Do not bring alcohol of any sort.

Underneath everyone’s door they’ll find a slip of paper, in shaky calligraphy, that reads:
Meet in the Dining Room.
Do not bring alcohol of any sort.
Upon arrival into the Dining Room it’s clear that this is very much...not a party.
The center of the room is cleared of all tables, and instead has all the chairs arranged in a circle, facing inwards. On the tables pushed to the side are jugs of water, cups, plates of saltines, and several hastily-made pamplets that read on the front ”How to cope with Child homicide” that contains an advisory list:
- Try not to think about it.
- Do not get hysterical.
- Crying is permitted, but keep it within a reasonable volume. (For the consideration of fellow mourners)
- Maintain civility
- Do not plunder the belongings of the deceased.
- No drinking or gambling your sorrows away. Set an example.
Standing in front of one of the chairs already is Mr.Arrow. He clears his throat as people start to slowly come in.]
I gathered you all here because I believed it would be conductive to group morale if we all worked through our feelings regarding recent events. Talk about your feelings with one another, but not with me.
[He steps back a little, out of the circle of chairs, in what seems to be an invitation for people to sit down and discuss with one another.]

Um... there's something else I want to try first if you don't mind. I... I want to see if I can talk to the guy who knew Maui. LeFou.

[haha anyone alive back home who cares about him is dead]

[It would be something if they could communicate with the living outside of this house. That man said he survived so maybe... maybe there is a way. And if there is then she wants to try it. She thinks hard about everything she knows about the man and then--]
Show me LeFou.

When he sees himself appear on the mirror, he blinks in surprise. And then he gives her a nervous smile.]
Uh... Hello?
no subject
[She's instantly thrilled and also immediately nervous.]
Right. Um. Hi! You... probably don't know me... and I know-- very little about you. But we have a friend in common. At least-- that's what I heard. So...
[....]
M-Moana. My name is Moana. Sorry. This is... it's been a long day and this is my first time talking to a mirror-- that talks back.
no subject
Maui told me about you, Moana. He's-- he's very dear to me.
[He's happy-crying, and he uses the ruffles on his sleeve to wipe away his tears, then gives her a little laugh.]
I-I'm LeFou. It's nice to meet you, well... kind of in person?
OTA of sorts???
Sorry, I'll just be a minute Lefou.
Excuse me but once you're done could you contact me for a moment? I have something I need to discuss with everyone.

Rod, no fair! Why do you get to butt in on someone else's time?

Hi, Marnie here! I don't know any of you guys personally, but if you could just hand the mirror off to Ratigan's ex-boyfriend, I'd be really grateful!

Hey, uh-- name's Donald. Listen, if you wouldn't mind hanging up on me-- do you think you could ask this thing to find somebody named Goofy? He's down there with everybody else and... I mean, I can't talk to him from here, but I just... I guess just ask him if he's holding up okay? You can tell him I called.
And tell him I think he's an idiot.

[Which means that probably all of it is. Even so it means that there's life outside of this place. There's somewhere they can go. That's-- she'll take that and hold on to it for dear life.]
I heard. You're his boyfriend, huh? It's nice to meet you.
[:3c]
I uh... also met your other... "friend". He's here with us. He said he was worried about you, so I figured I should say something.
[She had to do that properly first. Before--]
...but I also really want to punch his face.
no subject
He's- he's...yeah.
[Without thinking about it, his fingers trace the outline of the tiny, glass-looking hook hanging from his neck.
The grin disappears to a small, restrained cringe when she mentions Gaston.]
I'm fine! I-I, uh... Gaston and I were kind of... in a bad place. [But he manages to laugh a little.] He deserves it, give him all you've got.
But- but be careful, he's... well, he can be... angry. When he doesn't get his way.

[She just had to offer. It hurts her thinking that they got separated, even if she doesn't know what happened between then.
But also, about Gaston...]
I didn't even tell you what he did yet.
[Proof that he knows him alright.]
But if it makes you feel better, Rocket got him to drink vinegar labeled vodka. I think we'll be fine.

Lefou!
[ IT'S YA FAVE ]
You look - [ Well? Well...no. Not really. He frowns. ]
Have you been crying?
no subject
He's been borderline happy-crying the whole time from the sheer relief at being able to actually talk to the people trapped in this shitshow, to let them know that they're not alone, that they have friends on the other side.
That happiness drops off his face when he sees that smarmy look. He wipes his cheeks dry with a deadpan look.]
Gaston.

He notes Lefou's distinct lack of enthusiasm at hearing from his best friend, but passes over it for the moment. ]
They say you've been watching us here. Something called tele-vision.
[ He raises an eyebrow, only half-joking. ]
And yet you haven't come to rescue your old friend?
no subject
[And because they can't yet. But, details.]
Real friends who didn't leave me for dead under a harpsichord.
no subject
[ He scoffs, waving a hand. Spoilers no one has told him yet that he's in deep shit with Lefou. ]
Yes, they told me about that new...friend. A "demi-god," was it?
[ He smirks. ]
Well, I'm here now. You don't need him any longer.
