[Two more people died this week. Two children. And they died because of a freak accident. Despite all your protests, Randall refused to let Jane get away despite being innocent.

But there is a tiny ray of hope now, which comes in the form of the mirror. Now that the mirror is public information, you can see people you care about, even if they are dead and trapped in hell. Not only that, but you now now that someone is trying to save you all from the predicament that you're in. And this time there's a good chance that he won't turn out to be a heartless mass murderer!

Still, the ideas for the plan are vague and you have no idea when you will actually get out. It's hard to keep up hope when your only chance of living might still end with you horribly killed, isn't it?

At least you have a new floor and the ability to wash your clothes now.

[ Sorry, Marco, she's kind of just a really affectionate person. To that end she doesn't realize that sort of thing embarrasses him. She flashes him a teary smile and then tries to wipe away more of the tears. ]

You're right. You're right. I just...needed a bit of a reminder. [ This place sure is getting to her, but she's going to try her damn best to come out the other side.

Vanity showering for a moment, she groans: ] Ohh, I must look a mess, don't I?

[Marco lets out a laugh, shaking his head at her and he reaches up to tuck a loose strand of hair behind her ear.]

If you didn't look like a mess after crying, I'd be seriously worried.

And jealous.

[ A light pout. ]

Still... I'm gonna have to wash my face before I go get Saba from my room. [ Oh, right- ] He doesn't know. I'm hiding my relationship status from a sword.

[ SHE KNOWS, OKAY, SHE'S A DISASTER. ]

He'll be heartbroken. [ SIGH. Kim looks about them, to the books strewn across the library. ] Um... Thanks, Marco. For listening, and giving advice, and...letting me cry my eyes out at you.

Aw, come on. It's what any friend would do.

[Marco reaches out then, and gives her the lightest punch on the shoulder.]

You've already comforted me plenty of times -- heck, you almost died with me once when you could have easily just left me alone with that maniac instead and if that doesn't sound like friendship then I dunno what does.

[ A light smile. ]

Aw, I'd do that even if we weren't friends. I may not... I may not be a Ranger anymore, but I know a thing or two about doing the right thing. And leaving someone high and dry? No sir.

[Marco's no officiated Super Hero guy or something, but doesn't mean he wouldn't save someone if he saw them in danger.]

Hey, why don't we get outta here for now and make some junk food and just forget about everything for a little bit.

Mmmm... [ She looks at the general state of the library again for a few moments and then nods. ] Sure. No one said we can't take a break. Not too much junk food, though, I'm trying to stay in competing shape.

[ kimberly...... ]

[That gets a little laugh out of Marco, and he nods.]

Gotcha'.

[He gets to his feet, brushing off his jeans a little bit before he offers a hand for Kim.]

Soooo... homemade doughnuts are okay, right?

[ She takes it, wiping her eyes a bit with the other one again. ]

That sounds perfect.
