[Two more people died this week. Two children. And they died because of a freak accident. Despite all your protests, Randall refused to let Jane get away despite being innocent.

But there is a tiny ray of hope now, which comes in the form of the mirror. Now that the mirror is public information, you can see people you care about, even if they are dead and trapped in hell. Not only that, but you now now that someone is trying to save you all from the predicament that you're in. And this time there's a good chance that he won't turn out to be a heartless mass murderer!

Still, the ideas for the plan are vague and you have no idea when you will actually get out. It's hard to keep up hope when your only chance of living might still end with you horribly killed, isn't it?

At least you have a new floor and the ability to wash your clothes now.

Life is incredibly unsafe. [SIGHS] Don't you have some dumb rules to post somewhere or something?

I have no more amendments to the rules to add.

Inspecting the scene, he notices the purple jewel in her hand, and recognizes it as the one that was in his possession a few weeks back.]

Practicing getting that thing to work, I take it?

[nods] They didn't exactly give us a manual with this thing when they handed them out. I'm trying to remember all the weird junk Zevon did, but I can't be completely sure what came from my jewel and what came from everyone else's. The lightning is mine, apparently. That's pretty wicked, I guess.

They didn't even tell you how to use it?

[He gives a disapproving look, but it's kind of hard to tell since his face is usually that way.]

That's hardly responsible.

I assume there'd be some sort of class later or something. [LIKE. HOPEFULLY AURADON ISN'T JUST HANDING THESE OVER AND BEING LIKE OKAY COOL. but.] I showed up here pretty much right after getting it, though. I barely even had time to hold it, let alone play around with it.

Do you have any idea of what it can do now, at least?

Not really, no.

You don't even know how you ended up hitting the wall?

[Or, what sounded like it, at least.]

Oh, that was lightning, I think! [y'know like that's normal and good.] But, it's supposed to do more stuff than just that. It's supposed to be all kinds of stuff.

[sharpasanarrow]

Lightning?! Do try to avoid hurting yourself, or anyone unfortunate enough to be in your general vicinity.

[He sighs and reminds himself he needs to exercise some kind of patience if he wants to survive this place.]

Well you managed to get it to work once, can't you just do that again?

[Less hazardously this time, though.]

I'm running out of dumb nonsense words to shout. [zevon never seemed to have this problem]

Is...that really how it works?

I'm really not sure. It might've just been a "Zevon is a total weirdo" thing, but it seems to be working?

I would've expected magic to have more...craft to it.
