Week 4

[Two more people died this week. Two children. And they died because of a freak accident. Despite all your protests, Randall refused to let Jane get away despite being innocent.

But there is a tiny ray of hope now, which comes in the form of the mirror. Now that the mirror is public information, you can see people you care about, even if they are dead and trapped in hell. Not only that, but you now now that someone is trying to save you all from the predicament that you're in. And this time there's a good chance that he won't turn out to be a heartless mass murderer!

Still, the ideas for the plan are vague and you have no idea when you will actually get out. It's hard to keep up hope when your only chance of living might still end with you horribly killed, isn't it?

At least you have a new floor and the ability to wash your clothes now.

[SUNDAY MONDAY TUESDAY WEDNESDAY THURSDAY]

[Don't forget to fill in this week's activity check!

...There might also be someone new threadjacking some toplevels this week too. If you want to opt out of this, just let us know!\

Yeah...I'm sure he can't kill us all, right?

[He definitely can but Louis is just going to keep saying that to himself]

Anyways, have you found anything interestin' yet? Any other juicy secrets hiding in these walls? Or...maybe a theory or two?

[He's going to start slowly climbing out of the pool, which takes a lot more effort than it should, given the slippery tiles.]

The only thing that's really weird is that all the floors look like they're the same size except for the portrait gallery.

[He sketches an octagon on the corner of his map, where the portrait gallery would be on the first floor.]

It sticks out past the edges of the building like this, but it doesn't go to any of the other floors. I mean - I obviously haven't gone into Randall's office, but.

Hmmm....and that's the room we always go in for the t-trials and stuff.

[He rubs his chin, thinking.]

D'you think there might be a way out there or somethin'? I-I mean, we only ever go into the trial room f-for...um....so we don't really get a good chance to look at it.

[Worth a shot, right?]

Yeah, that's what we were thinking last week. I can't figure out how it does the [He makes a dramatic hand motion.] stretching or whatever you want to call it, though.

Maybe there's a hidden switch or...a button or somethin'. I mean, even if it was magic, there's gotta be an actual room we can access, right?

[Help this gator doesn't know anything about mechanics]

You're the inventor, you gotta have some idea.
upgradeit: (i could swear that there's someone)

[personal profile] upgradeit 2018-02-06 03:07 am (UTC)(link)
If there's a trigger, it's either remote-access or it's some sort of complex sequence of events. Neither of which is easy to trip from our end. [He runs a hand through his hair.] And I don't really know enough about magic to figure out how you'd trip a magic switch.
bayoublues: (heyyyyyyyy)

Oh, I don't know much about magic, either. Just that it can be kinda scary sometimes.

[its fine his past experiences haven't exactly been the best. mama odie is the sole exception.]

Maybe just a gesture...or a phrase? Like, a magic word. He does say the same exact thing every time we walk into the room. Can a machine be triggered that way, too?

Yeah - that's what Kim and I were thinking, but neither of us could remember what he was always saying.

[They, uh. Sure had other things to be worrying about.]

. . . It's a really long speech.
bayoublues: (ugh)

[personal profile] bayoublues 2018-02-06 03:25 am (UTC)(link)
[they. sure did!!]

Hmph. It'd probably be a good idea to ask him, but...he seems cares a whole lot about bein' a weirdo and bein' all orderly while we kill each other off. Or maybe that's just how he makes 'friends'.

[Does air quotes around the 'friends' part.]

Either way, I'm not exactly jumpin' at the chance to see him anytime soon.
upgradeit: (it's gonna take a superman)

[personal profile] upgradeit 2018-02-07 08:13 am (UTC)(link)
Yeaaaaaah, same. I'm pretty sure he wouldn't tell me anyway, but even if he would I'm not exactly eager to ask him?

[Even if it hadn't been his best friends that ended up having a crazy experience, he's just Not That Fond of the guy.]

I wish I had a recorder or something. That would make this like ten times easier.
bayoublues: (WAIT)

[personal profile] bayoublues 2018-02-07 09:33 pm (UTC)(link)
What's a recorde--oh!

[His eyes light up, as if making a revolutionary breakthrough.]

Ohhhh. So that's why they're called music records. I thought they just sorta came that way. The more y'know.

[Congrats, Lou. You drew one (1) conclusion.]
upgradeit: (there's someone reaching back for me)

[personal profile] upgradeit 2018-02-08 09:08 am (UTC)(link)
[......... Louis seems really proud of that, so Hiro's not about laugh, but he thinks it's kinda funny.]

Yeah, you have to record things before you can put them on a record. There's devices that can do it, but they're a little too complicated to build with the stuff that's here.
