Week 4

[Two more people died this week. Two children. And they died because of a freak accident. Despite all your protests, Randall refused to let Jane get away despite being innocent.

But there is a tiny ray of hope now, which comes in the form of the mirror. Now that the mirror is public information, you can see people you care about, even if they are dead and trapped in hell. Not only that, but you now now that someone is trying to save you all from the predicament that you're in. And this time there's a good chance that he won't turn out to be a heartless mass murderer!

Still, the ideas for the plan are vague and you have no idea when you will actually get out. It's hard to keep up hope when your only chance of living might still end with you horribly killed, isn't it?

At least you have a new floor and the ability to wash your clothes now.

26 guests remain.]

[SUNDAY MONDAY TUESDAY WEDNESDAY THURSDAY]

[Don't forget to fill in this week's activity check!

...There might also be someone new threadjacking some toplevels this week too. If you want to opt out of this, just let us know!\
downtonabbeast: Then who? (If I can't love her)

It's something I found in the library a few night ago when I was looking for something new to read. It's by an author I haven't heard of before but it sounded promising. [He picks up the novel to show her the cover: Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.]

I...very much enjoyed the walks we took together on the grounds, in the snow, with you reading aloud. [It's as if I'm seeing it for the very first time.] It only feels right that I return the favor.

[She takes in the title eagerly, all but chinhandsing at the thoughtfulness of his gesture. Of the story he tells her, the fond memories hitting her in waves. Belle settles in a little better on her bed, resting her chin on her knees.]

I'd like that very much. [Her heart is skipping a beat, just thinking about it. This is her ideal date. But she seems to remember something.]

But...but first, there's something I'd like to ask you. May I...?

[There goes his heart again, leaping into his throat in the best way. She likes it.]

Of course. Anything.

[She smiles, glancing down at her lap. After a moment, Belle clears her throat.]

Would you...tell me your name? Your true name.

[She hates referring to him as 'The Beast.' He's so much more than that, more than...a just creature. He's important to her, more than anything, and...well, he deserves at least that much.]

downtonabbeast: and made her love me too (How I could have love her)

[personal profile] downtonabbeast 2018-02-08 06:23 am (UTC)(link)
My name? [That gives him a moment of pause, his eyes widening in surprise. He'd been called so many things over the years: "Master", "your Highness", "Beast", "monster". Some courteous, some out of fear and/or respect and the rest for obvious reasons. But he truly can't remember the last time he'd heard someone call him by his name or had even asked.

He's quiet for a long minute, his head slightly bowed, before finally giving her an answer.]

...Adam. [It feels strange to say it out loud after so long, like it's a name that belongs to a stranger and not his own.] My name is...is Adam.

[She was expecting him to be perhaps a little bit taken aback, but Belle's surprised at that long moment of quiet; she's beginning to worry that it was out of line for her to ask, or even worse that he doesn't remember it anymore...

But he answers, and unbidden, a smile comes back to her face. Adam. The name fills her with warmth, sets her stomach to feeling a little giddy.

Is she blushing?]

It's a very nice name. [Her smile is fond, contemplative.] Adam.
