[. . . Well last week sure was a bloodbath. A bloody, accidental bloodbath. Even with two groups trying to save you, it might start to feel doubtful that you'll ever get out of here alive. Not to mention that Randy almost killed you all on an angry whim and you're still stuck in this madhouse with him of all people.

But hey, there's a silver lining to every cloud! You get a new floor that's not a nightmarish deathscape! Aren't you glad?

Prooooooobably? I mean, I think three at the same time is triplets. Then quadruplets. Then quintuplets. Then sextuplets. Then... sietetuplets??? I'm not sure.

Man, that's wild. Like, do people ever mistake you for Old Squirrel Girl, or somethin'? What are you supposed to do, then?

Hmm. I can see why that's a problem. Normally, I'd tell ya to ask Randy for help, but...when has he ever been trustworthy?

Yeah, alligators don't...really do family reunions, hah. Once you're all grown and can fend for yourself, you tend to just...drift off, y'know? Everyone's all super focused on carvin' out their own space in the bayou, so you gotta fend for yourself.

My ma's real nice, though, she lets me drop by sometime and show off my music! She's, ah, the only alligator who really likes it.

Its no big. Just something I should handle myself. Certainly can't leave it to that goober. [Randy: Goober]

Awwww man. That sucks, dude. Not that your mom like your music, I mean, just that your family's so distant. I always appreciate my mom visits, even if she's really embarrassing. [...Is Maureen still her mom? She hopes so. Is Tony Stark her dad because of the clone stu- DON'T THINK ABOUT THAT] And my sis and I- we don't always get along, but I trust her more than pretty much anybody! You deserve that kinda support too!

It's fine, it's pretty normal for gators to leave the nest without so much a backwards glance.

Man, moms are the best. I do have that support, now, with my best friends! But...it'd be nice to associate with some other gators, y'know?

What's havin' a sister like? I only have, like...twenty brothers.

I getcha. Its easier for me to talk with squirrels than people sometimes. [...] I didn't really have a lot of friends growing up. The squirrels were pretty much the only friends I had. I didn't know anybody else with the same interests until I went out on my own too

[She knows, logically, it wasn't technically her that befriended those squirrels but. The emotions behind those memories are real and that's good enough.]

Its weird, sometimes. We... got in a big fight last time I saw her. It was my fault, I was being an idiot. But even after everything, she had my back. She tried to convince me I was wrong and settle everything peacefully.

She's amazing. I wouldn't give her up for anything.

[bayoublues]

[Louis nods slowly.] It ain't easy bein' an outlier, eh? I understand.

[Except Allene probably didn't have people trying to kill her when she tried engaging in her interests....]

Oh. Oh jeez. Sibling problems, huh? I'm glad you got everythin' resolved, though.

You know what? I think she'd be proud to see you here. I mean, um, not with the...well, pretendin' to be Squirrel Girl and stuff. But you've fessed up to that, and even if you hadn't, you're always ready to stand up for what's right! You were, and still are, good in my book.

Sort of. We ended on... pretty good terms, I think.

Well, nice to finally meet you for who you are, Allene! Now, if you die, we'll be able to mourn you as a real person, not a clone!
