[Nearly two weeks in the Haunted Mansion have passed. Parties were had, friends were made. In fact, maybe you've completely forgotten about the motive looming over all of you. However, as what might be dawn approaches the Mansion, you feel a strange feeling of dread as you wake up. Is it all in your head? There's only one way to find out.

[Sophie begins her day like most others-- getting up, leaving her room and walking through the foyer to the kitchen. The end of another week is already nearing. They'd need their energy to keep strong. So unless something terrible is off along the way, she's going to start by making everyone coffee and tea.]

[Something seems noticeably off as she enters the foyer. And you might want to hold off on that coffee, Sophie, because in the kitchen there is a strange, sparkly light]

[What a lovely new day! Surely this feeling is just the anxiety that comes from being locked up from two weeks, nothing Wander should be super concerned about. When he wakes up, he heads to the conservatory for his morning meditation routine.]

[Kiara doesn't really sense the dread much, but she at least senses something is off. She smells something off, specifically. Something she didn't smell before, she thinks.

So she follows her nose out into the foyer]

[Well there is some blood, but what's more noticeable is the growing commotion in the kitchen.]

[There's something off about today. Wendy can feel it, but it's almost indescribable. Nothing had happened in the past few weeks, what was there to worry about?

Trying to shake the sensation, she gets up and steps out of her room and hurries into the foyer.]

[Ford wakes up feeling strange. The feeling in the pit of his stomach, that something is dreadfully wrong, is not a new one to him, and it keeps him from getting any more sleep. After ten or so minutes of tossing and turning, he pulls himself out of bed, dresses, and heads out into the hallway.

He cocks his head, listening for any noises, and hearing none, proceeds through the foyer and into the conservatory, thinking maybe a view of the outside will calm his nerves.]

[Well have fun with your hang out time with Wander, Ford! Surely nothing else bad can happen today.]

[This is totally just another day, and Maui is determined to master Dip Flip. He heads to the Game Room, quick as can be.]

[Tip is going to spend some time checking everyone's doors before heading to the kitchen. She's especially curious as to if there have been any additions to Fidds' Condiment Line.]

[Well there is definitely something going down in the kitchen...

The area in front of Fidds' door continues to be an absolute mess.]

[It isn't all that odd for Elsa to be feeling a sense of dread; she's been feeling it since waking up here. Doubly so after that attempt on tuesday to get them to cave. But today... today, it was like every hair on the back of her neck was standing on end. It was like an itch that wouldn't go away, no matter how much she scratched.

Something... something was wrong. And her fist instinct was to find Anna, to hide out in one of their rooms until whatever it was that was going on blew over. So... yeah. She'll do that first.

The best place to start off that search, of course, is the kitchen.]

[Well luckily for you Elsa, you do seem to stumble upon something.]

[As the commotion grows in the kitchen, the Ghost Host gives out an announcement for everyone in the Mansion.
His tone is neutral and hard to read for once.]

Karolina Dean is dead. Investigations will begin immediately. As soon as you find the clues, please head to the Stretching Room for your trial.

Wendy just, kind of stands beside Karolina, slowly crouching down to look at her closer. She was sparkling just like the day they met.]
