They unlock the entrance to The Other Side. It's a nightmare world, and it will release all of its' inhabitants across the universe. Effectively, it'll bring about the end of days.

...Hades doesn't want Zeus has anymore. He wants to start from scratch. Tear it all down and build it anew.
