[There once were some worlds that worked so hard, there was just no time to play. But that will all changed when a weird bus pulls up one day.

Your character is going to be in the middle of whatever, at their home, on a mission, dying, whatever...when they’re approached by the giant Moron Mountain Party Bus. Approached is a strong word when it seems determined to reach your character at all costs, crashing through walls or blending in, whatever necessary.

Once the bus approaches and your character has taken notice of it, the doors open. You have three options here.

1. You can board the bus willingly, upon which the bus will close it’s doors drive/fly/dive towards it’s next pickup.
2. Be hypnotically entranced beyond your free will and dance on to the bus, thanks to the actually-hypnotic tones of ”We Like To Party” which the bus will play should you choose not to willingly board.
3. Have your character get pulled onto the bus by a giant cartoon hand that emerges from the top of it, grabbing and tossing your character on.

Once they’re on, you’ll realize the interior of the party bus is fairly luxurious. There’s a pole, a couple of drinks stashed next to one of the couches, and a disco ball. A few TV monitors hang around too, broadcasting some basketball game (but there’s a remote right there). There’s clearly someone wanting to keep you comfortable, but...who?

It’ll be of less comfort when you realize the bus doesn’t have a driver or a steering wheel, and as soon as you stepped on, all of your powers and weapons were rendered useless. It’s ominous, but hey, there’s drinks.



(ooc: Welcome to Foolish Mortals’ Non-Disney Round! You won’t arrive at Moron Mountain until the host intro log, so your bios and the locations haven’t come into play yet. If you or your character would want anything aboard the massive party bus within reason, feel free to assume it’s there, as it’s obviously pretty luxurious. The bus pick-ups happen in the following order, ICly:

[It doesn't take him long to look up. Once he's decided her question is harmless enough, though, his gaze drops right back to his once-hook-now-claw hand.]

This isn't the prosthetic I had forged. They...replaced that with this pathetic thing. [There's a pause as he scowls, the tips of the claw click-clicking together a couple of times.] But, assuming it works in the same way... Yes.

[Not that the hook had any sort of grip, originally, but it could be fired like a harpoon, so... There's some sort of mechanism in there.]

[A small nod. The fingers move with control like machinery, only smoother and quietly. If she could figure out how it worked and write it down, she could share it with Varrick and make major leaps in the medical field. Future tech!]

You mentioned replacing. Did they replace everything or part of it? [She leans in to get a better look at the hand.]

[handhook]

Just this part of it. [Again, the skill crane claws waggle. When he continues speaking, his tone turns from curt-but-not-quite-rude to something a little bit darker.] Whoever arranged this didn't want me to have a weapon, I suppose.

I see. [A detachable hand. And he could fit some sort of weapon in it - a sword? Whatever, she'll have to report this when she goes home.]

When did they do this? [She got on near the end.]

Immediately after I boarded. It was before I even realized what was happening.

[Her eyes dart downward in thought. The hand that grabbed the horseman.]

Then someone has to be hiding here, controlling it. They might even be in a compartment outside of the Satomobile casing.

Not necessarily. It could be an automated process, or this vehicle could be remotely controlled. As much as I might wish the culprit was here, under our noses...

[He trails off, and a second later, he glances up to her, eyes narrowing slightly.]

What did you call this?

[Blink. Remote...controlled...interesting.]

Satomobile. Or does one of this size go by a different name?

I've never heard that term before. [Granted, Atlantis doesn't really use the same sort of transportation, but...] Though I believe this kind of vehicle is usually called a 'bus.'

[notthebattleship]

[He never heard of it because he's from some back of the woods country with no modern marvels.]

A bus, then. We don't have these where I'm from.

[handhook]

They aren't precisely used in Atlantis, either, but I've seen them while visiting the surface.

[Maybe they're more of a metropolitan thing, though. It's not like he cares that much about surface automobiles.]

Surface? [She raises an eyebrow. Zhu Li assumed that "Atlantis" was the name of his city that was on land like any other.]

[handhook]

[He meets her with a similarly dubious expression.]

Your lands, above the surface of the ocean.

Atlantis is an underwater city. [Sure. That might as well happen, too.]

As it has been for generations. Is that really such a surprise to you?

I've never heard of it before. It's surprising that a technological marvel isn't widely publicized.

[handhook]

Haven't you? [His dubious expression turns to outright uncertainty, even as he mutters, half to himself,] I wish it was less publicized.

My employer would be all over the concept if he ever heard of it. [Coming up next on Korra - underwater cities.]

[handhook]

I wouldn't recommend it. Atlanteans are adapted to life underwater. For you surface-dwellers, a cracked dome would mean death.

[notthebattleship]

[Well, the yellow hair is unusual. This man is pretty from the normal humans living in her world.]

Then you can breathe underwater. [Eyeing his neck for signs of gills.]

[handhook]

[there don't seem to be any gills there, and yet,]

Of course.

And have highly advanced prosthetics.

[handhook]

Are your questions going anywhere?

[notthebattleship]

I'm curious. [She says like it's obvious.] We could use some of your scientific knowledge to improve our living conditions and medical treatments.

I'm no scientist. If that's what you want, you had better turn your attention elsewhere.
