[Karolina and Mulan are dead. The first, and hopefully the last, deaths of your stay here. Hopefully their deaths won't be in vain. Your third week here starts on a solemn note, and the mood here has taken on a significant downward spiral. If it's any consolation (it isn't), you'll find that you have two new floors to explore...even if one of those floors has about twenty STAY OUT signs nailed to it.

But if you're going to deal with your pain by directing it at someone, I don't mind if it's me.

[Lefou chokes on a sob, scrubs his hands tiredly over his face (he had, at least, washed the stains off of them, even if he doesn't think they'll ever be clean again, but then he'd felt that way since the first time a gun in his hands had killed an actual human person). His scarlet bow is hanging untied around his neck from where he had to pull it loose earlier so he could breathe, and frankly by his time period's standards he looks like a wreck.]

Every day I think I'm just gonna wake up and this'll all be some kind of a nightmare, but when I open my eyes it feels like someone else is gone... And I'm scared that it'll be me, but I'm even more scared that it'll be someone else, someone who'll actually be missed...

...I know what it's like. To be the fall guy for someone else's bad ideas. It didn't happen often, but I did get thrown under the cart sometimes.

[He's going to come closer so he can get a look at the hat box. He's cleared his head a little, he knows what he has to do (clean her up, put her back together).]

Her body's going to be gone tomorrow. Isn't it. When we're asleep you guys will... bury her? Like you did the others?

[it's a grim situation, but he's at least saying what he needs to, he thinks.]

[Lefou nods. It's...something, at least. They've got enough strong men (himself not included), he thinks they could do the digging themselves, but it's... emotional labor.

Still, they could have taken her right away, too, and left them with nothing but a blood stain to say goodbye to. So he says:]

[And hopes the host gets what he means. He has to screw up his courage to lift the lid off of the hat box, closing his eyes before peeking them open to look inside.]

[He looks up at the ghost host.]
