Your third week here starts on a solemn note, and the mood here has taken on a significant downward spiral. If it's any consolation (it isn't), you'll find that you have two new floors to explore...even if one of those floors has about twenty STAY OUT signs nailed to it.

[Back home, her words might have elicted a spark, kicked up a tune. He might have danced a little jig, used some of his powers, and conjured up a pretty little musical number. Here? He just felt numb.]

As in "Thank you, Maui the great and powerful, for making me breakfast." Come on, Red, do I have to spell it out for you? Because I can't spell, and it won't be pretty for either of us.
