WEEK 3

[Karolina and Mulan are dead. The first, and hopefully the last, deaths of your stay here. Hopefully their deaths won't be in vain. Your third week here starts on a solemn note, and the mood here has taken on a significant downward spiral. If it's any consolation (it isn't), you'll find that you have two new floors to explore...even if one of those floors has about twenty STAY OUT signs nailed to it.

23 guests remain.]

[SUNDAY MONDAY TUESDAY WEDNESDAY THURSDAY]

{ooc: Don't forget to turn in your week 2 AC! As we're now officially in full murdergame mode, AC from here on out is extended till Thursday.}

Yeah, I hope so.

This is the kind of thing we do back in the village, whenever someone... passes. I haven't lost anyone important to me since I was like, fourteen, but... As sidekick to the town hero, I ended up following him to most of them.

[...And cringing as Gaston proceeded to seduce the bereaved daughters or on a couple of occasions new widows.]

[Wander has seen many different funeral rites during his travels. Some keep the body completely covered, some burn it, some have specific rituals on how the family should mourn. In the end, what they have in common is that loved ones gather around a symbol of their old friend and reminisce about the time they spent together. For all twenty-two of them, they all understand this.]

...You are a hero now, Lefou. Not a sidekick anymore.

[He recalls the bio describing Lefou as a man searching for his own place, how unsure of himself he was when they first met.]

[Lefou doesn't say anything for a long moment, just gives Wander a look of bald-faced surprise. If records were around in the 1700s, his expression could easily be summed up with a record scratch.

He searches Wander's face for some indication that he's joking, that he's teasing or even just...lying to make him feel better.

"Reflected glory is almost as good as the real thing."

But there's nothing to reflect now, he hasn't even done anything heroic he just did what...he thought was right to do. If he was half the hero he used to think Gaston was, he would have gotten them all out of here. Before anybody died.]

[Wander looks right back at Lefou, eyes filled with admiration. Lefou has done something a truly brave and caring person would do, and perhaps his past self wouldn't. Wander wants to see him grown into something better, and Lefou has begun that journey without prompt. He stood up to the Ghost Host and demanded him to retrieve Anna's head. How was that not praiseworthy?

Compare that to Wander, who just sits back and helps people like Lefou change. Even if Wander is lying and Lefou won't be a real hero, he at least is a brave friend.]
