[Tadashi, Sophie, and Princess Anna are dead. By now, maybe you're realizing that this plays is way more dangerous than you have ever feared, but don't worry, maybe some hope will come along the way.

For example, if anyone tries to open the Conservatory Door leading outside starting this week, they'll find that they finally have access to the graveyard and outside. You are now freely able to leave the mansion whenever you want.

[Well look at that. It's you, Wander, and you got a banjo now, and one that looks way better than those in the music room]

Man, I'm so jealous you got something like that. Hey! What can I trade you for that banjo?

[It'd be a good enough replacement until Demyx can get his sitar, that's what he thinks]

Nope! [A slow major chord.] I can lend it to you temporarily, but I cannot depart with my dear decorated diversion. [alliteration intended]

Unless you wanna learn how to play, then sure!

Ah, I already know how to play that. Kinda. Would have done better if the banjo I found in the music room didn't fall apart in my hands after a minute or so.

[Oh, it's yours and not a random banjo? He's disappointed there's no deal, but eh. Demyx knows better than to take someone else's cherished instrument, since his got taken away and all]

[A true musician shares a spiritual bond with his instrument. They must never be separated.]

We can always check out what else in in there. You can play about any stringed intrument?

The principle is the same, the strings aren't that different in all those instruments. I could do it.

[At least he believes so. Demyx looks rather cocky about his skills]

[If Demyx is correct, then power to him. If he isn't, Wander gets to see him swallow his pride. Win-win.]

[He really doesn't mind going to where a dead body was found just a couple days ago]

[IT'S KIND OF WEIRD but if Demyx is cool with it, Wander is. He follows Demyx out the game room and up the stairs, playing a simple heroic tune. It reminds him of the time he played sidekick to a real life hero, only this time Demyx isn't a selfish jerk who drags people into his own fantasies.

Wander needs to meet more legitimate heroes.]

Can you play a violin? Or a bass? That goes well with banjo music.

No violin, but I'm all for giving bass a try. There must be one somewhere around here...

[There is a bass but it looks very fragile. A couple strings are missing]

What a bust...but it'll be good enough, I guess. I can't promise I'll show you the most amazing performance you have ever seen, I can't do anything great with this piece of junk.

Don't say that! This bass has been waitin' all this time collectin' dust, dreamin' of the day a kind hearted musician pick it up and treats with the love it always wanted? [He sets the banjo aside, holding out his arms in a pleading gesture.] Can you see that this was meant for a musician like you to see the good inside it, not to throw it away like garbage? How it longs to be used as a bass, not as background decoration?

Demyx, can't you give this bass some of your appreciation for all the years its suffered untouched?

...you really are passionate about seeing the use in stuff, huh.

[Demyx sighs, tightening the strings that are left, miraculously managing to do it without damaging it any further]

I'm just not very attached to instruments that aren't mine. It's not the same, it feels like there's something important missing in all this stuff! Surely you understand that, right? Right?

[folkscallmewander]

That's why we gotta give it a forever home, even if it doesn't end up bein' you! [Points at Demyx.] Now why don't we dust it and see its true face underneath those years of stagnation.

[arpeggiositar]

Okay, let's see... [Demyx dusts off the bass with the sleeve of his coat. Not all the grime comes off, but it does look better than before] Not too bad. Could be worse! And the sound is acceptable. Maybe you really are onto something here.

[folkscallmewander]

Yeah! We just need new strings, a quick polish, and ol' Bassy will be good as new!

[He pats the wood body a few times. There, there, Bassy, everything will be alright.]

Okay, there must be something like that around here. Come on, don't stand there, help me search.

[With a lot more enthusiasm than one could expect, Demyx started searching around for usable strings. The thought of having an usable instrument is actually quite appealing to him]

[Wander practically dives into the pile of musical equipment in search for a string. There has to be a box of them, he can't steal one from another bass and hurt it. What if all of the instruments are alive like the piano? They would be heartless monsters.

He picks up a cracked violin, letting it stand on its end and twirling it around.]

Whoever owns this room must have really loved music. No wonder they never threw anythin' out.

[Demyx doesn't have such qualms. He's taking lutes and guitars, examining the strings with expert eye]

You think it was the ghost host? He doesn't seem to me the type to like music, but who knows. Maybe he does.

Ghostave's a private guy, this seems like the kinda hobby he'd be into.

[Not spare strings here. He finds another bass with the required strings lying on the floor, but Bassette should lie in piece.]

...Ghostave? Is that really his name? I figured he didn't have one anymore.

[Are you giving everything names now, Wander?]

Not that I care very much. I'm not into making friends with the guy who locked all of us here to kill each other, that's kind of a dealbreaker.

He said he's fine with it, so now it is.

[Maybe?]

You know what I always say? [He moves his hands around to demonstrate how important the next sentence is.] An enemy is just a friend you haven't made yet, and Ghostave is right on his way to becomin' a friend. [Excited finger point!]

There's a lot you can change if you just reach out to each other!

[arpeggiositar]

[Demyx steals one of the strings from one of the lutes. The lute breaks in his hands, sawdust falling from inside. That thing was unsalvageable]

I dunno, I have never been the type to make friends. I mean, there's a few people back in my group of partners I do get along with, and we banter and talk and I like spending time with them, but I wouldn't say they're my friends.

[Wander perks up at the noise.] What was that?

[Oh well, he'll just walk over and see what neat thing Demyx found.]

Reaaally? Even though you work together as a team? You gotta have someone to hang out with when you're not workin', else it feels like you're always workin'.
