WEEK 4
[Tadashi, Sophie, and Princess Anna are dead. By now, maybe you're realizing that this plays is way more dangerous than you have ever feared, but don't worry, maybe some hope will come along the way.
For example, if anyone tries to open the Conservatory Door leading outside starting this week, they'll find that they finally have access to the graveyard and outside. You are now freely able to leave the mansion whenever you want.
Maybe you can all finally leave this place...?
20 guests remain.]

SUNDAY

Maybe someone else can use it, so he leaves that on the pile beside the machine as he inserts the final coin. What he receives is the one thing that can raise his cheer levels to 11.
H has been reunited with his banjo!
Wander wastes not time grabbing it, giving a quick tune-up and going to town on that instrument. He missed you so much, banjo, he will never leave your side again.]

There's a happy spot after everything that's happened, she guesses. Naminé listens quietly, then when he stops after a song, she claps politely. ]

making a break for it?
It wasn't until she was wandering past the conservatory that she noticed those doors she tried to burst through a few weeks ago. Seemed kinda pointless, but she decided to give them a tug.
And it opened. The other door opened too. Wendy could see the graveyard just outside.
She stood there for half a second before rushing out into the yard. What's out here? Can they leave now? Is she laughing? You bet she is.]

Once he's done buffing the piano, though, he heads outside for a breath of fresh air. He spends some time just staring at the graves, but doesn't approach. There's no use being pessimistic or morbid, after all, not right now.
Once he comes inside, it's back to the kitchen. He's going to fill out his mom's choux recipe if it kills him - and it just might, here.]

Space felt so close yet so far away now and she hated it. She wished there was some Orbble juice or some remains of a space ship she could fix up or something to get them out of here. But even with access to outside she's still as trapped as she was nearly a month ago.
She wondered how her home galaxy was doing. With every passing day she wonder just how much galaxy there would be left to save if... when she finally went back. She hoped Lord Dominator liked messing with her and Wander enough to halt her scheme for a little while. But that seemed horribly unlikely.
Well, she supposed at least Lord Hater has come to his senses enough to fight back Dominator, so maybe that's a small ray of hope.
She sighs and shakes her head.]
This is so stupid...

I guess. . .someone can make a pie with that? Huh. Hope it doesn't go with the frog's breath.
[who knows. If someone nosy checks the trash nearby, they might notice a nametag sitting in it. Nothing weird there. Feel free to take any of these items!
Aside from poking at his random prizes, any time in the evening, Mike can be found outside (once it's been proven safe.ish.) sitting atop a tombstone and just sort of idly staring into the sky.]

She sketches a few things: Sophie, a cup of tea in her hands, with a warm smile on her face. Tadashi, cooking in the kitchen, with Mochi near his feet. Tadashi, ruffling Hiro's hair. Mulan, looking confident and at ease while she cooks. Karolina, placing coins in the slot machine, and Karolina, smiling and looking happy and alive.
Anna, with Elsa at her side, both of them smiling as they skate together.
The sketches are just that--rough, sketched, and she's not as good as Ford. But she thinks it's her best work, and this is what she can do for everyone. Feel free to come and talk to her, she can draw and talk at the same time. ]

[Even if she wasn't there herself, Kiara learned about Star's attempt at a seance and summoning after the fact. She is determined to learn more and to, well, try something a little different.
Especially after the last trial, she is feeling restless and impatient to try something new.
She goes looking for Star, to ask her how a seance works, how to do it, and whether she'd be willing to help.]

You would think elsa would stop talking to spirits after anna's death AND YET
But... she does slip out late in the afternoon, heading outside. It's a grim area, with all the headstones, and part of her wants to go right back inside, but she... can't. Seeing how neglected everything looks sends a sad pang through her chest, so for a while she'll stay outside, tidying up the graves. And maybe trying to get a look at the names...?
Surprisingly, she doesn't immediately retreat back to her room once she finishes her work outside. Instead, she heads to the game room, where she knows a certain someone SHOULD be.]

Betty!
[There is definitely not a fully-grown adult man in the game room holding a banjo in his hands as one might hold a child and looking like he's on the verge of tears. It's just that he's needed something nice for so long now. He's been looking where he can for tiny nice things, little glimmers of hope, but little glimmers are gone quickly. This is something tangible that he can hold onto.
Later, taking a cue from Mike (and also in the name of uncluttering his room and maybe helping to unclutter his mind), Fiddleford has set up in the foyer with an odd collection of items. Most noticeable thanks to its size is a full-length green dress. The only thing he hasn't brought out is the lion pelt: that's staying in his room for fear of offending the actual lion that's living in this house with him. Call it a hunch but he feels like that would be tasteless given the circumstances.
As he babysits the little hoard he picks at the banjo he hasn't let out of his grip since he first got it back. He's not playing a song: she got a little out of tune in the slot machine. Gotta fix her up first. The slight distortion probably wouldn't even be audible to anyone but him but he gets very particular about it is the thing.]

After that, he heads up to the ballroom, approaching the piano carefully. Even if he hadn't been physically tackled by a harpsichord, he had seen what this piano in particular had done to Tadashi's arm.]
M'sieur, ah... Maestro? Can you...play on your own? I guess I would be cranky too if people tried to sit at me and press on my teeth all the time.
[By evening, he's in the kitchen, chopping up vegetables and trying to keep in good spirits humming a song to himself. There's a large pot on the stove that sounds like it's bubbling and boiling, as he adds potatoes, carrots, celery. Last he adds meat, though he makes sure there's enough raw left for Kiara's dinner.]

TUESDAY
MO...TIVE...?
My employer...
He pauses, still floating there, there is an uncomfortable pause and his brow furrows.][The box fades away, and he leans forward, clasping his hands behind his back. His tone is something of a mix between anger and inquisitiveness.]
Everybody, listen well. I suspect that there is...someone or something in the mansion who doesn't belong. A plant either sent by or in touch with my employer.
If what I suspect is true, they have ill intentions, and I believe they are out to kill both me and you. I believe them to be amongst you. If one of you meets that description and would like to step forward now, please do so, and all will be forgiven. I'll make sure to protect you.
[Silence. His tone takes on more aggravation.]
Fine.
There will be a small dance in the ballroom later. Refreshments will be served. If that person would like to speak to me there, I'll be happy to listen.
[He disappears from view, fuming.]

After performing his regular check-ups on the pool table, he makes his way outside. There's been no luck escaping the mansion itself, but he hops onto a gravestone, squinting at the sky.]
...M'lady? M'laaaaaaaaady! [She obviously can't see him through the cloudy sky, but maybe she can hear him.]
I'm, uh, looking for your star but I'm having trouble. Maybe you can make an exception this once?
[...Still nothing. Is she mad at him for getting caught?]
T-there's some folk here who are really in trouble an-and could really use a way home. That shouldn't be too hard for the likes of you. N-Not that I'm doubting you, mind!
I just... don't understand. [Why isn't she stopping this? Why is this happening to these people?
Why is it happening to him?]

His attitude is more somber by the time that he gets outside, with a bucket full of warm, soapy water and a couple of scrub brushes. He's not wearing a waistcoat, both of his too fancy for this, his shirt sleeves pushed up to his elbows. He kneels in front of the first headstone he finds, clearing anything living off of it before he dips the brush in the bucket and begins to scrub carefully at the granite. He has a rhythm going, humming quietly to himself and scrubbing along with the beat to get the black of mold and age off of the stone. He works like someone used to this particular job, running his fingers around the letters to make sure that he isn't scrubbing them away.
In the evening, his arms sore and tired, he makes a quick sandwich and goes back to room 103 for the night, leaving the door cracked open just a little for a while until he actually gets ready to sleep.]

.....A WAND CHARGER.
[She holds the little, glowing heart-shaped crystal between two fingers. It's the exact make and model that fits into HER wand!....Except she doesn't have her wand.
...But with this, she could make one.
She immediately makes for the kitchen and starts digging around in the drawers. Laughing triumphantly, she produces a whisk, which she shoves the wand charger into. Immediately, the utensil starts to glow pink with the little crystal hovering inside it.]
Yesssss, finally, ULTIMATE POWER!
[So now Star is running around the house wearing a sunhat and waving a glowing whisk at everything, while shouting at the top of her lungs. A normal day, really.]
Narwhal Blast! Pink Cupcake Glitter Beam! RAINBOW...KITTEN...HEART ATTACK!
[It becomes clear that her makeshift wand isn't doing much of anything, but that's not going to stop her from trying.]

LET'S BAKE COOKIES
BAKING!
A lot of people have been making food for everyone, but we haven't baked anything together. And I think it's a good time to try that! It's something I really enjoyed doing with my mom before all this. Come to the kitchen, I've got most of the ingredients ready.
To help the illiterates, she's also added a map of the mansion, with an arrow pointing at the kitchen, along with a rough illustration of raw ingredients and cookies. When anyone arrives, they will indeed see various ingredients spread out over the counters, with Tip herself looking a little embarrassed.]
Anna and I discussed it...I finally had time to set things up.

She spends the morning poking around the kitchen. Aiming to put together an omelette, if she can only find a frying pan...
Late, eventually, she's gone up to the seance room. Immediately, she grabs a seat in front of the crystal ball, hands waving in front of the sphere.
And she just, kind of, stares at it.]
...Okay. Are there any ghosts out there? Specifically any of our friends?
[More hand waving. Her knowledge of spirit channeling may not be as well-read as Ford's, she's still... trying?]
Is there anything out there to talk to?
