WEEK 4

[Tadashi, Sophie, and Princess Anna are dead. By now, maybe you're realizing that this plays is way more dangerous than you have ever feared, but don't worry, maybe some hope will come along the way.

For example, if anyone tries to open the Conservatory Door leading outside starting this week, they'll find that they finally have access to the graveyard and outside. You are now freely able to leave the mansion whenever you want.

Maybe you can all finally leave this place...?

20 guests remain.]

{Don't forget to fill out your Week 3 Activity Check!}

[After the dry ingredients come the milk, eggs, and the mixing.]

That's why we're in this together, Tip! If we all work together, we can make enough breakfast for everyone!

[No single person carries the team alone. Unless it's Wander because he will not accept assistance unless the situation is dire.]
pardonmylanguage: (smile)

[personal profile] pardonmylanguage 2017-07-14 01:49 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, definitely! Pretty sure we can make more than enough, even.
folkscallmewander: (me?)

[personal profile] folkscallmewander 2017-07-14 02:21 am (UTC)(link)
With a big family, you gotta plan ahead. [He's in the middle of pouring dried cranberries when the slip of the tongue catches up to his brain.] A big party, too.
pardonmylanguage: (speaking)

[personal profile] pardonmylanguage 2017-07-14 03:48 pm (UTC)(link)
You've got lots of siblings? [Her voice is curious.] Or just a lot of family reunions going on?
folkscallmewander: (so hey)

[personal profile] folkscallmewander 2017-07-14 05:05 pm (UTC)(link)
[He lifts the bag of cranberries away from the bowl. You know what, he should add chocolate chips. Yeah, he should.]

Not siblings, but I had a pretty big extended family. I'd have to help out even when we were cookin' for more than just ourselves. [He dumps a small bag of chips in.] Don't you also have parties where you cook for all the neighbors?
pardonmylanguage: (speaking)

[personal profile] pardonmylanguage 2017-07-15 12:53 am (UTC)(link)
Well...not really. We didn't know that many people around, and especially after Mom started talking about being abducted by aliens...
folkscallmewander: (but what about the birbs?)

[personal profile] folkscallmewander 2017-07-15 02:14 am (UTC)(link)
That...happens sometimes where I'm from. Folks from other planets kidnappin' folks, I mean.
pardonmylanguage: (speaking)

[personal profile] pardonmylanguage 2017-07-15 12:02 pm (UTC)(link)
...do you still call it alien abduction, or is it just plain old kidnapping for you?
folkscallmewander: (what's in the hat?)

[personal profile] folkscallmewander 2017-07-15 12:08 pm (UTC)(link)
It's kinda rude to refer for another person as an "alien" where I come from. Animals are fine, usin' it to talk about somethin' outside of your home planet's fine, but we'd call it kidnappin'.
pardonmylanguage: (speaking)

[personal profile] pardonmylanguage 2017-07-15 12:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, er, sorry about that. I guess that makes sense. We don't call foreigners "aliens" either now, even though they're from different countries, so I guess it's just like that on a larger scale?
folkscallmewander: (excuse me Mr. So-and-so)

[personal profile] folkscallmewander 2017-07-15 01:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Mostly it's because space travel's gotten so easy that it doesn't really matter where you're from. [some people do care but let's be optimistic here] It's a bit complicated, but I personally avoid usin' the term whenever possible.
pardonmylanguage: (speaking)

[personal profile] pardonmylanguage 2017-07-15 03:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Alright, I...guess I'll try not to say that again. I don't think it was considered offensive to the Boov and stuff, but I know you guys are different.
folkscallmewander: Gosh my arm is getting tired. (So how's your day goin'?)

[personal profile] folkscallmewander 2017-07-15 03:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, I'm not offended! Just explainin' that folks don't use the term "alien abduction" in my galaxy, it just doesn't make any sense.

...Is your mom alright?
pardonmylanguage: (smile)

[personal profile] pardonmylanguage 2017-07-15 03:39 pm (UTC)(link)
[She nods.] Yeah, she is. She got pretty vindicated after the Boov made their public appearance. Apparently they wanted to learn Spanish and English from her. [Part of her is proud that her mom was picked for that. Take that, everyone who laughed at Lucy's occasional bad English!]
folkscallmewander: (I'll do it myself!)

[personal profile] folkscallmewander 2017-07-15 04:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Good to know she's okay! And the Boov can move onto better methods of learnin' now that the they know better!

[Good for...both parties.]

Alright. Now's the fun part of makin' cookies - the mixin'!

[He pulls a wood spoon from the table.] May I have the honor?
pardonmylanguage: (smile)

[personal profile] pardonmylanguage 2017-07-16 09:41 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah...they're kind of terraforming the moon now-did I mention that to you? Maybe they'll eventually set up moon tourism though.

[She grins.] Of course! There's plenty of mixing available for everyone, I'd hope!
folkscallmewander: (let's see...)

[personal profile] folkscallmewander 2017-07-16 06:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I recall you talked about them movin' to your moon. Glad y'all managed a compromise.

[He folds the batter slowly at first, just to make sure flour doesn't go flying everywhere.]

Tourism's good! It's how lots of planets in the galaxies I've been to make a livin'. Granted, we all can travel through space, but you gotta start somewhere.
pardonmylanguage: (smile)

[personal profile] pardonmylanguage 2017-07-17 04:39 am (UTC)(link)
Really? I guess that makes sense. Are there space travel guides and travel agents too?
folkscallmewander: (Default)

[personal profile] folkscallmewander 2017-07-17 04:47 am (UTC)(link)
Guides, agents, train conductors, spaceship pilots, everyone you need if you wanna visit someplace else. There's booklets for attractions at every station.
pardonmylanguage: (smile)

[personal profile] pardonmylanguage 2017-07-17 05:10 am (UTC)(link)
And do you also have to wait around forever when the space trains get delayed?
folkscallmewander: (let's see...)

[personal profile] folkscallmewander 2017-07-17 08:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Waiting's no problem. All that means is we get to read over guidebooks and eat at the deli.

[No matter what universe, delays are a fact of life.]

[personal profile] pardonmylanguage 2017-07-18 12:13 am (UTC)(link)
[She snickers a little, but not meanly.] You're so positive about everything, Wander.
folkscallmewander: (laughing)

[personal profile] folkscallmewander 2017-07-18 06:41 pm (UTC)(link)
[He takes no offence.] Doesn't do any harm to look at things positively!
pardonmylanguage: (smile)

[personal profile] pardonmylanguage 2017-07-19 12:07 am (UTC)(link)
[A slightly sadder smile.] Guess not. So are there any weird old books you can only find while waiting?
folkscallmewander: (so hey)

[personal profile] folkscallmewander 2017-07-19 05:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Depends on the station. Sylvia likes those action paperback series you can't get in a regular bookstore, but otherwise we stay on the platform if it's not too big of a delay. Or I play music if folks wanna spare a coin or two.
