For example, if anyone tries to open the Conservatory Door leading outside starting this week, they'll find that they finally have access to the graveyard and outside. You are now freely able to leave the mansion whenever you want.

Uh. More like doubly committed. [Maui reached up, digging through his mass of hair before pulling out his fierce looking "monster" mask.]

Neat, right? Bet I'd be right at home in Lalotai.

I guess it's pretty cool. Is there a planet- country- that's just populated by monsters?

[She figures she might as well try to know more about Maui.]

Sorta? It's... another plane? Or maybe just a place underneath the world of humans. It's under a lot of water -- probably a good two minute fall. But yeah, it's where our monsters are.

And, well, that sounds weird but also She was once literally eaten alive by a planet so she's willing to believe just about anything about a planet.]

So is that where they're all exiled or do they just prefer to live down there?

[She's also very tempted to ask how you can fall into water for a couple of minutes but she figures Maui just forgot what swimming was called.]

[Their relationship is exactly what Maui needs. I can't wait for the moment he calls her his friend.]

Little bit of both, really. See, I don't make a habit of going to Lalotai, so it's a nice place for them to live and not get their heads knocked in. On the other hand, we can't have monsters wandering about up where the mortals live. Bad for morale. And living too.

So every now and again, I have to knock a few back down there.

I'll believe it when I see it. I have a hard time believing that a dork like you could manage to make every monster in the world afraid of wandering Earth.

[She gives Maui a wry smile. Sorry she's totally teasing you there.]

Could always show you. Bet you'd fit right in down in Lalotai, too. No need to worry about keeping you safe. I mean, things might still try to eat you, but I'm sure you can handle yourself.

Enough things have tried eating me in my lifetime that I'm practically used to it.

And I gotta admit, the possibility to rough up some monsters is the best thing I've heard about Earth so far.

So it's a deal then. You'll be my monster hunting apprentice for the day, and get to see me hard at work?

The only condition is that you never say I'm your apprentice again and we got a deal.

Uh, excuse you? I've almost been eaten loads of times.

[Maui placed his hand to his chin, stroked it once, then nodded.]

[She tries to look angry with that nickname, but she's smirking a little.]

I'll take it for now, but the moment I prove just how strong I am, I'll make you eat those words.
