THE MOCK WEEK

[You find yourself waking in a large dressing room, incredibly spacious, but in intense disarray. The bed is comfortable enough, and each room seems to be equipped with a working bathroom and shower, so it's at least livable. But aesthetically, the place has hit the floor.

The horrifying clock mounted on the wall reads 9 am. After enough searching, you'll find a large tourist-y map of the studio on one of the dressers. An ominous note attached to the map with a paperclip reads "12PM WAITING AREA". It's not like you have any choice in the matter, seeing as there doesn't seem to be any way out.

Upon exiting the dressing room, you note a crooked star attached to the door bearing your name. There are 24 others like this, bearing names that you may or may not recognize. A quick tour around the studio reveals it to be in a similar state of disrepair, but something doesn't sit...right with you. Though the place is certainly creepy, you get strange vibes as you explore the building. As you move about the dust-filled halls of the abandoned building, you may spot movement out of the corner of your eye, or hear strange noises from behind you. It's nothing to be worried about, though...right?

At the very least, you'll find some comfort. The projection room and attached theater still seem to be in working order, though you'll have to manually grab one of the reels off the wall and start the thing yourself. In addition, the waiting area and lounge are both filled with reading materials, and the later features a large stage and a microphone. The commissary seems to replenish itself with food whenever you take your eyes off of it, ensuring that we won't be going hungry anytime soon. There are also cabinets full of ingredients and a small kitchen should you not trust whatever your benefactor is placing out for you.

Fortunately for them, the smaller individuals amongst your party won't find a great deal of difficulty moving around. Though their beds remain oversized, there seem to be appropriately-sized staircases and escalators placed about in appropriate spots, so as to make their lives easier. After all, they can't just keep relying on the others to get up to the cabinets and such, can they?

While you're waiting to find out what the deal here is, you might as well come out and socialize.]

You know what, mice are cute, bugs are gross, and less than a week ago she helped out real actual elves at the North Pole. Kim takes all of this in stride and very showily gasps.]

Why, thank you. I do try to look my best on the job! Though I have to worry in a time like this. What could have brought us all here?

[Oh, this mouse is more to-business than she is. Kimberly looks a little sheepish.] Afraid I have...no idea. I was kind of hoping someone was familiar with this place but not you either, huh? I mean, of course you aren't, no one in a hat that nice would be living around a place this gross.

Certainly not! [laughs] I was on my way back to New York on business. I've never seen such a place before.

[pinkflip]

You've been to New York? Wow, you even live in the big city! [Focus, Kim-] Haaave you seen anything around here that's...a clue, or something? You- you wanted to ask me a question, didn't you?

[Before she so rudely picked her up. At least she's giving miss mouse a nice view of the place.]

Not yet, but I'm sure we'll turn up something! This place is certainly old-fashioned, though, isn't it?

That's...one way of putting it. I'd go for supremely rundown and in need of a major redecorating, but you know.

Hey, I'm Kimberly, what's your name? If you've got a job and clothes, you've gotta have one of those too.

It's wonderful to meet you! Why, I'm Bianca. I'm sure we'll get out once we discover what's happened. Kidnappers like this never think of everything!

Ha, you're tellin' me. Always some kinda slip-up here or there.

I've had to investigate such things before, but I hope you haven't dealt with them. Horrible people.

[Ah- hahaha-] Ohhh, nothing too bad, it comes with the territory, living in Angel Grove.

[How...many times has she been held captive...actually...]

Are you certain? That sounds dreadful! What kind of place is that?

O- oh, uh- it's not that bad, really! There's these heroes that save the day every time, it's just part of what living in a place targeted by aliens means!

[She is trying so hard to undersell this]

It's still quite worrisome to hear! Especially with those of us trying to keep the peace between the nations.

[yeah she totally thinks "aliens" just means the soviet union or smth]

[She's confused for a few seconds but she'll just role with it. You know, she realizes she's been holding Bianca for awhile so Kim will just. Kneel down so she can hope off there.]

It's- it's fine, you know, the Power Rangers take care of all the bad things that happen, every time.

[Climbs off carefully to the floor!]

Oh, like the human police?

Something like that. They're stronger, though.

I suppose with the world how it is now, they might wish to call in the army...

[Uh...] Well... There's bad stuff, but I don't think we really need the army.
