THE MOCK WEEK

[You find yourself waking in a large dressing room, incredibly spacious, but in intense disarray. The bed is comfortable enough, and each room seems to be equipped with a working bathroom and shower, so it's at least livable. But aesthetically, the place has hit the floor.

The horrifying clock mounted on the wall reads 9 am. After enough searching, you'll find a large tourist-y map of the studio on one of the dressers. An ominous note attached to the map with a paperclip reads "12PM WAITING AREA". It's not like you have any choice in the matter, seeing as there doesn't seem to be any way out.

Upon exiting the dressing room, you note a crooked star attached to the door bearing your name. There are 24 others like this, bearing names that you may or may not recognize. A quick tour around the studio reveals it to be in a similar state of disrepair, but something doesn't sit...right with you. Though the place is certainly creepy, you get strange vibes as you explore the building. As you move about the dust-filled halls of the abandoned building, you may spot movement out of the corner of your eye, or hear strange noises from behind you. It's nothing to be worried about, though...right?

At the very least, you'll find some comfort. The projection room and attached theater still seem to be in working order, though you'll have to manually grab one of the reels off the wall and start the thing yourself. In addition, the waiting area and lounge are both filled with reading materials, and the later features a large stage and a microphone. The commissary seems to replenish itself with food whenever you take your eyes off of it, ensuring that we won't be going hungry anytime soon. There are also cabinets full of ingredients and a small kitchen should you not trust whatever your benefactor is placing out for you.

Fortunately for them, the smaller individuals amongst your party won't find a great deal of difficulty moving around. Though their beds remain oversized, there seem to be appropriately-sized staircases and escalators placed about in appropriate spots, so as to make their lives easier. After all, they can't just keep relying on the others to get up to the cabinets and such, can they?

I, uh... I don't know. He does seem like he's got a few bases covered. [Which is...uncomfortable.]

I'm sure people would notice, but... I have been thinking. What year is it for you? Everything here is so old-fashioned, and people do not seem to understand.

Uhh, end of 1995. Tip said she's from 2012... Are you from the future too, Bianca?

So the times are different! It was 1977 when I left. I worried because of that poor boy, Roxas, since he had mentioned worlds -- I thought I'd misunderstood.

Oh! You're from the past!

[Knowing the basics of her history... Okay, she can understand Bianca's apprehension now and talk of armies.]

That's... I wouldn't have even been born then.

I don't even know how this is possible, but it would explain why everything here is so mismatched, at least.

It's probably some pretty powerful magic, or...something like that. Eesh. [The more powerful, the more she fears...]

Magic? I haven't heard of such a thing, but if there isn't a machine that could...

I lived most of my life not knowing it existed, but it definitely does, trust me on that. If we don't know how something happened, I'm willing to bet magic.

[This whole thing is awkward, uncomfortable, just...

...so Kim gestures Bianca over.] C'mon, no one, not even a mouse with clothes that stylish can stand to wear the same thing over and over again. Let's find you something to change into.

[Walks over to her and up the mouse stairs!]

Why, of course! I'm surprised there's so much.

Right? For a gross old guy, Doom's got an impressive wardrobe. Little outdated, but. [She shrugs.]

It's as disjointed as the building. Most features look like they haven't been touched since the nineteen-thirties, but I'm sure they didn't have sprinklers like those.

Well, he looks like he's been alive that long, so maybe he's just adding bits and pieces of his life to the place. [yikes]

Bianca, what's your favorite color? We're gonna find you something that...something that goes with your fur.

One can't go wrong with purple, but I'm sure I could do anything right. Half of fashion is confidence, after all!

Yes, that's what I always say! Well, it's what I think, and I'm gonna start saying it now, hehe! [She'll let Bianca do the actual picking out since...it's all very small.]

How do you make little clothes, anyway? Do you have little mice-sized sewing machines?

We largely make do with things cobbled from human castoffs. That's how a lot of things work, really. You ought to see our headquarters, with the box seating made from matchboxes. When one is very small, one must be resourceful!

Whoa, you're like scavengers but cool scavengers, that is so amazing! You know, if I ever meet any other mice, I will see if they talk and give them...purses, or something.

It's very kind of you to think of us! I wonder if mice where you live are like we are, and if we'll all still be able to understand each other.

I've never spoken to one before, soo I bet not. But my friend Billy's got a cute lil' lab mouse friend, and I can at least say hi to her next time I'm around.
