If it was like his blood there would've been some around the body, you'd figure. Though I guess he could've used it to grease up his parts and keep them runnin' smooth...

Sometimes the most obvious thing's the right one. He wasn't... in the best shape. It might not be motor oil or anythin' like that but it probably came off him all the same.
