It's all happened before...

[You wake up in a plush bed, well rested but very confused. As you become more conscious, one thing becomes abundantly clear: this is not your room, nor does this look like any bedroom you’ve ever been in before. It’s relatively clean room, but immediately something feels… off about all of this.

When you start exploring, a thing you’ll soon notice is that on the bedside table, there is a room key sitting ontop of a neatly typed note.]

Dear hotel guests,

We cordially invite you to come to the downstairs library at noon for an important meeting regarding your stay in the Hollywood Tower Hotel. Before then, we invite you to make full use of the amenities this hotel has provided for you.

On behalf of the hotel staff, we dearly hope you enjoy your stay in this marvelous hotel.

-HTH Management

[But, as you leave the comfort of your new bedroom, any hope that you somehow booked a hotel room the previous night and just forgot is immediately dashed. It looks like this hotel hasn’t been cleaned in decades, and despite the mention of hotel staff in your note, there doesn’t appear to be anyone working here.

Not to say that you’re alone, however. As you explore the hotel, you’ll soon find that there are 23 others in the exact same situation as you: confused and with no memory of how they got here. And to make matters worse, if the bios you stumble upon in the dining area is anything to go by, this clearly isn't just a freak accident.

Get comfy, because you are all in for a wild ride.]

[Honestly, this is probably the worst person he could have run into in a dusty old hallway. Or one of them, anyway. It's probably rarer that he would run into her in a hallway even, but. Here she is.

He stops several feel short of her, keeping a distance because this... bodes well.

And he definitely cringes as she retrieves her soggy letter, Oswald's letter was crumpled in his little hand.
]

Eugh! Ursula?

[ She isn't sorry about the moisture. Imagine how she feels sliding across your precious dry, dusty floors, landlubber.

Ursula arches her brows delicately as she's obviously identified. Gently bemused, for now: ]

Do I know you?
forgottenfounder: (Stars)

[Look, anything to get some sweeping done in here. Maybe the ghosts will get her a fishtank for her service.

And boy oh boy, is he small right now. And she's big, and he's worried.
]

Well, that is... [His eyes dart.] I highly doubt you would. We've never met before.

Uh huh... So how is it that you know me? If you couldn't tell, this isn't my usual sort of venue.

[ Her fingers brace against the wall as she ever so sloooowly pivots towards the rabbit. ]

[Oswald's ears droop, and it somehow makes him look even smaller.]

...Who hasn't heard of Ursula the witch? You're practically infamous! It's really not... all that weird.

[Ahahhaha it's not like he knows about the Disney universe, or anything.]

I wouldn't be surprised if this were coming from another sea creature, but unless you're hiding some fins that I can't see...

[ She gives Oswald an exaggerated, meaningful once-over with her eyes.

And takes the equivalent of a step towards him. ]

What do they say of me on the land, then? Infamy has so many connotations, after all.
forgottenfounder: (So?)

augh sorry for lateness

[personal profile] forgottenfounder 2017-10-07 09:23 am (UTC)(link)
[He'd break out in a sweat if he was less brave then he was.

Actually no, he's more then a little freaked out.
]

Oh, you know... things, all kinds. [Is it really so important?]

Come to think of it, maybe that's why you're here.
anasty: (pic#11724857)

no worries!

[personal profile] anasty 2017-10-07 09:37 am (UTC)(link)
[ You don't have very good senses for self-preservation, do you, Oswald?

Because Ursula is fully turned towards him now, her grey eyes narrowing. ]

'Maybe'?

[ One great heave towards the rabbit. Suddenly, she may just be too close for comfort. ]

Or 'Definitely'?

[ Her tentacles move to make an inky little frame around where Oswald stands. ]

I've been wondering at so much...

But now it seems as if you have more than a few answers for me. If you know me, rabbit, then you know I don't ask questions lightly.

What, exactly, do you know of this place?

[ She leans in, her smile displaying a little more teeth than what might seem friendly. She's not surging forth yet, but by her little crouch and Oswald's knowledge, maybe he knows she's about to make a far less cordial move. ]
forgottenfounder: (So?)

[personal profile] forgottenfounder 2017-10-10 07:32 am (UTC)(link)
[Nothing about this is okay. Honestly, you'd think that with such big feet he would learn how to fit them in his mouth better.

But as Ursula gets entirely too close Oswald is firmly aware of how small he is, and it's not like he isn't a weakling either. He would just... rather not do any of this, if that were at all possible.
]

No, what I meant was...

[Too late though, she's here. And she's definitely expecting some kind of answer, so he just

shrugs.
]

...Nothing. I'm just as lost as everyone else here. But it looks like a place from back where I'm from, and that doesn't mean it is that place.

[Whiiiich just makes his brow furrow worse]

Humor me.
forgottenfounder: (Do you think...)

[He taps his chin.]

You ever heard of a place called the Lonesome Manor?
