[Another week another set of bodies, and now, the guests aren't the only ones dying in this hotel. At this point it seems as though something is attacking the nonguests of this hotel. What's attacking them, however, no one seems to know. But surely you can all find out before more people die, right?

No new floors open up this week, but people will find on Sunday that the locked door on the first floor is now unlocked. It's a good time as any to see what's behind it.

Actually, I did! You know that door on the first floor? It was open for a moment. I managed to check inside before it was locked again.

[He's not going to mention Rod's presence there, but yeah, maybe telling about that place is fine?]

There was another library inside, but when I turned on the light it turned all ruined and spooky. Didn't have time to take a good look.

Interesting... I wish I could have gotten a chance to take a look at it myself.

It may be a good idea to stay away, I'm not sure what kind of place that is. It doesn't sound like a good idea to mess with supernatural stuff.

Perhaps, but sometimes you have to be willing to look into such things regardless of the risk it poses, if it can lead to one's freedom.

I guess you're right. [More power to you, Joshua] You know how to pick locks?

What kind of rule-breaking teenager would I be if I didn't know how to pick locks?

[... I mean except for the part where he's not actually much of a teenager anymore but that's beside the point.]

Yeah, you're right! Okay, if you get in, take something with you to take notes. There's...stuff written on the walls, something about a futurist. It could be important. You won't have long, just a minute or two.

In that case, shall we take a look now? If we wait too long, important evidence and information may be removed by the host, or their so called "benefactor" running this little game.

[It's good to do something proactive. That helps not to feel useless, like there's a way to make things be better. The new door looks like normal, just like Virgil and Tadashi had left it before]

Okay, there it is. Shouldn't be too hard for someone like you, boasting about your lockpicking skills.

[Although...you'll find it's unlocked. What the heck?]

[A pause as he studies the door... and simply opens it without doing anything to step inside the already unlocked. Joshua Kiryu, lockpicker extraordinaire.]

...okaaay...that was weird...I was pretty sure he locked it after we left...

[He mutters that, going in. You don't get to take credit for this, Joshua]

[They don't even have enough time to really explore before a horrible distorted voice appears out of nowhere.]

I think this guy can be trusted. I dunno much about what kind of stuff he has gone through, but the little I know sounds like he may have some ideas to solve anything about destruction and, uh, whatever else happened.

To be fair, none of us want to be in this hotel right now either. That said, perhaps we can reach a solution here that benefits both of us? Surely there must be something that can be done so that you don't have to stay in this room you dislike so much.

Right. I think I should step out, threatening voices are too much for me.

[When he passes by Joshua, though, he slows down. There's something he'd like him to check, so he whispers, talking as low as possible so Rod doesn't hear him]

If this room is just like the library, then there must be a TV somewhere...maybe it'll display something other than static.

[Good luck, Joshua, he'll wait outside the room]

Really? I find them to be entertaining, on some occasions.

[But yes, he heard Virgil's suggestion, so he turns and takes a more focused approach as he searches the room. Is there a TV in here?]
