There is a vague feeling of dread hanging in the air and, as comfortable as this bed is, there’s just something off about everything, even before you open your eyes. The dread only grows when you open your eyes and realize that you are in a completely unfamiliar room. One that has clearly seen better days at that.

As you explore your room, you will soon find a bedroom key resting on the dresser along with a note]

Welcome, esteemed guest, to our humble abode. We hope that you enjoy your stay in this Phantom Manor, as we expect you to stay with us for a very long time.

Feel free to make yourself at home as you enjoy what this manor has to offer, whether it’s the library, our projection room, or our famous wax museum. We’re sure you will find great joy

However, before you can get too comfortable, we ask you to please come to the portrait gallery at noon so we can discuss your stay here.

[The uncomfortable feeling doesn’t let up as you leave the safety of your bedroom. The manor seems old and decrepit, almost like it would fall over at the slightest breeze. Despite that, anyone who tries to escape will soon realize that the walls are unusually sturdy, and there are no doors that would seemingly lead to the outside world.

Still, at least you’re not alone in this scenario, if the other bedroom doors are any indications. Maybe there are a few more people coming out of their bedrooms too, so you have someone to talk toif you want to try to figure out what's going on. But if the 30 bios in the foyer hall are any indication, whoever has you here did not do this on accident. Whatever you’re here for, it seems like you’re here for a reason.

But hey, what’s the use of being pessimistic about this? Maybe it’s all an innocent situation… right?]

So it can fight, too? Or was the armor just there to keep him from popping accidentally?

He can definitely fight. Me and my friends are part of this vigilante group called [fuck what was that stupid name Fred came up with] Big Hero 6 and with Baymax we fight villains with science and super cool gadgets to keep San Fransokyo safe.

[No they don't. Mostly Wasabi screams a lot, Go-Go and Honey Lemon are the only people who get anything done, and Fred is useless. Also they've fought a grand total of (2) villains.]

Hiro doesn't answer for a moment because he doesn't know the answer. Baymax is . . . Tadashi, in a sense? But Tadashi is gone and he's not coming back and Baymax is the closest thing there is but it's still not his brother.]

[That pause told him a lot...and he realizes that Hiro's been using past tense to refer to Tadashi and manages to combine the two into an assumption he's pretty sure is correct. He doesn't have any siblings himself, but he had a very good friend once...that's almost the same, right?

Either way, let's talk about something else.]

...Do you think you'll be able to disable the music buttons?

Honestly? Prognosis grim.

[He can't even figure out how the button is affixed to the wall - if he knew, he could probably try to chemically melt whatever was holding it on. Honey Lemon would definitely be able to, but he's learned a couple things about what dissolves what from her.]

They're really solid, like whoever put them here doesn't want them to be messed with. If I can't get behind the button, I can't mess with the wiring.

Looks like you might need something to pry it away from the wall.

[Or, well, the button is part of the wall. Maybe if one hits it hard enough, it'll disable it.

Or cause the song to start playing and never stop. Hmm.]

Or just take a hammer to the wall around it.

[He looks at the wall, trying to remember how you can tell if a wall is, like, important to the structure or whatever. Can he smash this wall???]

This place probably wouldn't fall down if I just destroyed the wall. [Key word: probably.] If you were the owner of a creepy mansion, where would you keep the hammers?

...If that wall falls down from a couple holes in it, I REALLY don't want to be here very long.

You never know. Buildings are funny like that - they had this problem with one of the painted ladies a while back where termites or something did some damage and it nearly brought the whole house down.

[Which would have been Unfortunate, to say the least.]

That's not very reassuring. Don't bring the walls down...I don't care what else you do to them, as long as you don't collapse them on top of everyone.
