Week 3

[Well, someone took the bait last week, and now two people (if either of them could really be called a person) are dead. Not only that, it seems like your first host is now out of commission and replaced by someone who claims to be The Phantom. While he may not be incredibly worse than Facilier yet, it would be a stretch to say he's an improvement.

But, things aren't all bad! When the guests wake up on Sunday, they will find the stairs in the foyer are now open, leading to a whole new floor to explore!

And there's booze so no one will have to drink vinegar anymore.

[Pinocchio sets out to explore as much of he can as the new floor as he can today. First he gravitates towards the billiards room-- though he doesn't really know how it's meant to be played, it looks like fun, and that's enough for him. So he spends a good chunk of time just rolling the balls into the pockets of the table, attempting to figure out what the actual rules of the game are meant to be.

After that he's pretty excited to find the artist's studio because now he has actual drawing supplies versus just the pen he had earlier. So now he can do his illustrations in actual color.

...He's venting. It's fine.

In any case, he's in there for the rest of the day, drawing out some of the other people in the manor and a couple of individuals from his home, too. It's not like there's much else he can do.]

[Rocket's been combing the new areas for anything that might be useful, and stops to look over Pinocchio's venting.]

[He snorts a little with repressed laughter.]

Not bad, kid. Mind if I make a suggestion?

[He'll admit that Negaduck's portrait may have involved some artistic license, though.]

Um... sure, I guess! What is it?

He sorta copies the same thing he and Lekmet did to another drawing of Arrow, not so long ago-- he gives him a rather unflattering mustache and scribbles his eyebrows to look much angrier.]

Hm... I still don't think he looks mean enough.

[Rocket thinks for a second, then picks up a black writing thingy and adds a speech bubble to Arrow with the words "No fun allowed"]

Billiards Room

I don't think that's the way you're supposed to play it. You want some help dude?

[Soos is gonna teach a puppet how to play pool, isn't he?]

[...Then again, he's never seen one of these tables before in his life. Maybe he shouldn't be surprised that he got it completely wrong.]

Oh, yeah, that'd be great! It'd be fun to have somethin' else to do!

[Other than. Y'know. Watch creepy shorts all week, which is all they could really do downstairs.]

Alright.

[He grabs one of those triangle things, along with all of the billiard balls, and sets them up for a game. As he's setting them up, he'll ask Pinocchio something.]

Can you grab two of those pool cues? They're the long stick thingies hanging on the wall.

[hm, yes, these are obviously for... hitting things with, or perhaps stabbing people. he should've guessed from the start.

he sort of has to drag them along the floor (they're very tall), but once he manages to get them over by Soos he sets them down carefully and peers over the edge of the table.]

Have you played this before?

A couple of times. Stan likes playing all sorts of games like this.

[Hopefully Pinocchio will never try gambling with him.

Anyway, Soos finishes setting up the billiard balls and grabs one of the pool cues.]

It's pretty easy. You just gotta line up the pool cue to hit the white ball, and make the other balls fall into the holes. At least, the ones that are yours. You can either get the full color ones or the stripped ones. And...that's about it, I think.

He sounds like fun!

[Let Pinocchio learn how to gamble, it's fine.]

That doesn't seem too hard. I was sorta close to figurin' it out.

[...Well, he was knocking them into the pockets, at least. He just didn't think the cues were actually relevant.]

Yeah, he's pretty awesome.

And yeah, you really just needed the cues.

So, you wanna go first? Or should I?

[he's fine he's not at that canonpoint yet]

[He's mostly concerned he won't actually aim the cue correctly without watching how it's done first.]

Thanks! [He takes a step back to examine his work.] I never really got to draw or anything back home... I guess that's one of the only good things about bein' here.

Well then, you should definitely bring some of those with you when you leave! So you can keep drawing even when you go home! [Because he has to believe they'll get to go home.]

That's a great idea!

My father has a lot of paint at home, though. I could maybe use some of that... I'm already gonna have to carry Figaro and Cleo with me when we leave. I don't wanna have to carry that much stuff.

That's good too! Well...maybe we'll find a backpack or something you can keep your stuff in! That way you don't have to carry it in your arms!

Yeah, maybe! We do keep gettin' stuff out of the machines. There has to be some kinda bag in there.
