[You wake up and almost instantly notice that the thumping has stopped. Maybe a wave of relief washes over you or maybe you’re confused, but one thing seems immediately clear, it doesn’t seem like the monster is here anymore.

The problem is that something also feels deeply wrong when you wake up. Sure, nothing is wrong with the bedroom you’re currently residing in, but as soon as you leave the comfort of your bedroom it should be abundantly clear that something happened last night.

[She trails off, letting Noby's head fall back to neutral, and points out the mystery thing.]

[It's a rock. A moving rock. It seems to be nudging against Noby trying to wake him up.]

[Or a sentient being that looks an awful lot like a rock???

Is...there any blood on it?]

[I mean, a tiny bit of blood. About the reasonable amount for something that's been bumping against a bleeding body all night.]

[Hm. Well, that's comforting, at least. Anything else of note about this weird, scuttling rock?]

[Great. She sits back on her heels, looking over Noby's body again, checking to make sure there's nothing else visibly off here.]

[... Ok does Leia feel comfortable like, rolling up Noby's sleeves? Just gotta ask before continuing.]

[Well hey sure why the hell not she already touched his bloody head.]

[Ok good because I didn't want to just throw that on Leia.

As she rolls up the sleeves, she will notice that there's a lot of bruises on his body.]

[She sets about pushing up his sleeves, wanting to be thorough, and cringes when she sees all those bruises.

Are they small bruises or large ones?]

[They're pretty sizable bruises.]

[ Oh, um. Still crying, but nearby: ] R-Rocky- o-oh, that's- one of Noby's pets, he just--

[ ...There she go, more tears. ]

[Now she's sad about a rock. Thanks.]

[ WE WERE ALL GONNA SUFFER EVENTUALLY ]

[Lekmet carefully picks up the rock, confused. Did that...just move?]

[It quivers as it's picks up, and almost instantly jumps out of Lekmet's hand to be near Noby again.]

[He's going to leave the pet rock be.

Is there anything else near the body that the others haven't seen yet?]

[There sure is!

Something seems off about the stairs too.]

[Time to investigate that- Is there blood? Is one of the steps broken somehow?]

[Actually, there's a lot of scratches on the stairs.]

[Do the scratches look like someone clawed at the stairs? Or perhaps from some kind of object (like a stick or something?)]

[It's not from the pet rock, is it?]

[It doesn't appear that way. I mean you could test it by throwing them against the stairs?]
