Second Investigation

[You wake up and almost instantly notice that the thumping has stopped. Maybe a wave of relief washes over you or maybe you’re confused, but one thing seems immediately clear, it doesn’t seem like the monster is here anymore.

The problem is that something also feels deeply wrong when you wake up. Sure, nothing is wrong with the bedroom you’re currently residing in, but as soon as you leave the comfort of your bedroom it should be abundantly clear that something happened last night.

Investigate?]

He bobs back up in a similar manner, his beak now much soggier.]

[He fumbles over his beak, not having even realized it was wet. He gives it a squeeze, and some of the liquid drips back into the mug.]

It should wash out.

[Emphasis on the 'should'.]

Well, if it don't, scrub it with a little bit of baking soda.

I see.

[His tone is completely flat, he doesn't even bother to ask what baking soda is. Holding the mug in one hand, he fumbles around for a cloth to dry his beak on.]
