Second Trial

[Once everyone makes it the portrait gallery again, they will hear Randall's voice echo through the room.]

I'm not sure what everyone expected. There are a lot of children here and given the situation it was only a matter of time they started dying.

[Charming.

The floor descends once again as Randall begins his speech.]

Our tour begins here in this gallery where you gaze upon the sweet innocence of youth. Ah, but things are not always as they seem. Can it be this room is actually stretching? And notice this: this chamber has no windows and no doors, which offers you this chilling challenge… to find a way out.

Of course, there’s always my way.

[The floor stops again and doors open to the trial room.

At least the trial room doesn't look terribly different, although there are strange burn marks in the summoning circle now. And now, along with Mim, now Woody and Noby's podium has a lit candle and a voodoo doll resembling them (which is perhaps a little redundant in Woody's case).

Randall is already standing within the summoning circle, holding his stick with Facilier's head on it.]

Um, I think it might've been a person, actually. There were a bunch of scratch marks on all the bedroom doors, too.

I...don't think so. They were shallow, and...claws would make deep scratch marks, wouldn't they?

It depends both on the claws and the material.

Well...it was a wood door, and...that's about it.

Oh, and they were also kinda low to the ground.

... Also if you want to know how low they were to the ground, they were incredibly low, just a few inches.]

They were all an inch or two long, and...I think they were all super low to the ground. Like, only a couple inches off the grounds.

Could either of his pets have made them?

Well, if one was a tornado type thing and the other was a rock, it...doesn't seem very likely that it was either of them.

Oh...! Oh, maybe not the scratches, but... Mr. Arrow, didn't you say the foyer was a mess? And Basil, didn't you say Spinny was exhausted? What if that's why? What if she did all that, either during or...after, Noby died?

No, I don't think there was anything in the hallway. Just those scratch marks.

...that doesn't fit. If Spinny made those marks, why would she or anyone take the debris away? It should have been found there.

...Spinny was exhausted when I found her. It could potentially have been from her throwing something at the doors... [ ...all night, hoping someone would hear... ]

There'd be no cause for her to scratch the stairs as well, though...
