[...So that was a mess. All of it was a mess, and things don't look to be improving any time soon. With tensions at an all-time high and conditions worsened, it seems pretty safe to say that this whole week promises a great deal of foreboding atmosphere.

But, hey, things aren't entirely bad. Just as Randall promised, you're now able to leave the Manor! 

Just don't stay out there for too long. There's still a lot of you, and you just can't afford to lose numbers.

Do you, uh, need some help? I think it wouldn't be too hard to make churros.

Yeah, that's...that's understandable. I've been having sleeping trouble too.

[Of course, his problem is more inescapable nightmares.]

Yeah.. I think this place is just taking a toll on everyone, honestly.

[He gives Soos a small smile though, and he moves to toss out the dough that has a nice imprint of his face in it.]

You can help if you feel like it. Churros definitely aren't that hard to make, but it'd proooobably be a good idea if I had someone make sure I don't fall asleep again.

Especially... during the frying process, h-hahah..

Alright, let's get ready to make churros, then.

[Cause he doesn't wanna talk about current events so lets just move on from that.

So he'll just grab the nearest bag of flour and sit it next to the now empty bowl.]

I know we need flour, but what else?

Okay, we're gonna neeeeed....

[Marco looks around the room, tapping his chin a little bit as his sleepy brain tries to recall all the ingredients he normally uses.]

Well, water obviously. Brown sugar, normal granulated sugar, vanilla extract, eggs, cinnamon you can not forget the cinnamon, butter, salt, aaaaannnd......... one habanero pepper.

[wait]

And I know you're thinking that sounds weird but trust me on this one.

[sorrydoods]

[As Marco lists off the ingredients, Soos goes around the kitchen and grabs some of them. Specifically both sugars and the salt.

He does stop and stare at hearing that last one, though.]

Well, if you say so, I'm willing to try it.

It's [chefs kiss] delicious.

[He'll gather the other ingredients then, and get started on making that batter.]

I learned this recipe from my grandma and I refuse to eat churros any other way, now.

Heh, don't need to tell me twice. If there's one thing I know for sure, it's that grandmas always know the best recipes.

[It's one of the perks of being raised by your grandma.]

You're dang right they do.

[Marco's said two (2) swears this entire time and thats enough for him.]

Okay so, do you wanna fry the churros or make the dulce de leche sauce?

I'll fry the churros. I really don't want you to...you know, so it might be better if I handled it.

Yeahh... probably a good idea honestly.

[He's feeling.. okay no, he's still absolutely exhausted, emphasized by the big yawn he gives out as he adds some more ingredients to the batter.]

Soo... you know Mr. Pines and Mabel, right?

Yup! I've worked for Stan for ten years, and I've gotten to know Mabel over the course of the summer. We sort of bonded while running for our lives, fighting monsters that tried to kill us, and working at the Mystery Shack.

That sounds like some kind of diner or something. I'd eat there.

It's more like a museum for all sorts of weird stuff. There's stuff like a bottomless pit, a picture of a horse riding another horse, and even a statue of the Sascrotch.

...most of it's technically fake, but it's more interesting in how imaginative it can really be if you keep an open mind and stuff.

Ohh, so it's like a tourist trap?

[Everything's added in besides the pepper, to which he grabs a cheese grater for and starts to liightly grate some of the skin off into the mixture. Just a liiiittle bit.]

So.. wait. You guys fight monsters and unicorns and at the same time work at a place that makes up that kinda stuff for tourists?

[sorrydoods]

...yeah, pretty much.

[He's not gonna lie.]

We could try using that stuff in the shack, but the last time we did, it kinda...caused two people to go insane at the sight of their worst nightmares.

[You know. The usual.]

That.. okay, that's entirely fair then.

[And Voila! The batter is all made. Now he'll go grab a bag and a spatula thing so he can scoop dis shit in there.]

So, like, people didn't feel like seeing the real thing and they visited to see your versions instead?

No, more like they're just so used to the fake stuff that real stuff just sorta looks fake, and they don't really realize it isn't until bad things start to happen.
