Week 5

[...So that was a mess. All of it was a mess, and things don't look to be improving any time soon. With tensions at an all-time high and conditions worsened, it seems pretty safe to say that this whole week promises a great deal of foreboding atmosphere.

But, hey, things aren't entirely bad. Just as Randall promised, you're now able to leave the Manor! 

Just don't stay out there for too long. There's still a lot of you, and you just can't afford to lose numbers.

There should be...I mean, even if he did have magic at his disposal, it couldn't be the same room, the same place every single time, right? And someone has to go down and change those portraits.

I say we search it--there's bound to be somethin' we missed.

Agreed.

[That's.. actually really exciting, and Louis can practically see Marco's eyes lighting up.]

Do you wanna go right now? Sneak in there all sneaky and ninja-like?

Let's do it! Though I'm not sure how much sneaking we'll actually need to do.

[He starts to walk off before stopping to turn and ask Marco a question.]

Also, what's a ninja?

[Look, you always need to sneak when it's a secret operation like this okay.]

A ninja is kinda like a secret agent. They used to be everywhere in Japan but nowadays they're just on, like, posters and stuff.

[Marco follows close behind Louis, though he has his back pressed against a wall as he side steps after him. Y'know. Sneaky.]

They used to be assassins and they're famous for being hard to detect because they wear a lot of black clothing and they're masters at infiltrating buildings and being absolutely silent as they do it.

Which is what we're doing. Right now.

Ooohhhhhhhhhhh. Okay. It's time to be super sneaky.

[Wow! Louis has learned more about Japan in these last few weeks than he had in the last several years of his life!

He carefully grips his trumpet with his tail to leave his hands free. Copying Marco's stance, he presses himself against the wall as flat as possible and starts inching towards the portrait gallery. When the wall runs out at the entrance to the wax museum, he freezes and whispers:]

What do we do now?

Weeeeee duck behind a statue!

[Marco says that as he suddenly does a forward roll into the room, and runs behind Bill's poor ruined wax figure. He looks behind at the door and does a hand motion for Louis to come in.]

[bayoublues]

[Oh. Louis watches Marco and tries to roll forward like him. He makes one half turn before flopping onto his back with a dull thud. He flips over and scrambles on all fours over to the pharmacist figure. He's about six inches too tall and too wide to fit behind it, but he's going to do his best.]

Okay. We are going to make our way into the portrait gallery, now. Sneakily.

[nachosquire]

[He's.. he's trying. That's all that matters.]

Sneakilyyyyy.

[Marco runs behind another statue, and then another. Just dodging behind them even though there's no real threat until finally he makes it to the portrait room entrance.

But when Louis comes up behind him to follow him in (or even if he's still across the room), he reaches out to stop him.]

Careful, Louis! There might be boobytraps!

[Very Obviously Not Being Sneaky, Louis makes a direct beeline for the entrance and nearly crashes into Marco when he stops.]

B-Boobytraps?! [He freezes up, glancing around for any nefarious machinery.] L-Like, put down by Randall, or...or the d-duck, again?!
