Week 5
[...So that was a mess. All of it was a mess, and things don't look to be improving any time soon. With tensions at an all-time high and conditions worsened, it seems pretty safe to say that this whole week promises a great deal of foreboding atmosphere.
But, hey, things aren't entirely bad. Just as Randall promised, you're now able to leave the Manor!
Just don't stay out there for too long. There's still a lot of you, and you just can't afford to lose numbers.
24 guests remain]
[SUNDAY MONDAY TUESDAY WEDNESDAY THURSDAY]
[OOC: and don't forget to fill out this week's activity check!]

[Marco reaches out, giving Hiro's arm a light punch but it's like, extremely halfassed since he's laying down.]
Thursdays are just as good as any other day of the week.
[even his fooling around is halfassed he's.. so tired, which is enunciated by a big yawn.]
no subject
[Not that it's a good reason, but.]

[He moves to fold his hands behind his head, with another small yawn.]
Do you think they show it live or like, it's pre-recorded so some jerk can edit funny noises and junk into it?
no subject
[He's pretty sure what's been shown to their families is maybe slightly different than what the dead and the other living are seeing.]
no subject
[Either way is pretty terrifying to think about... imagine. Their parents are only just now sitting down to watch the first episode while six people are already dead.]
..wait, why are we even talking about this in the first place? I don't wanna think about how my parents are watching all of us die!

[Marco reaches out, grabbing onto Hiro's sleeve a little bit.]
I haven't slept in, like, twenty-eight hours and I'm exhausted but I haven't even been able to sleep so.. y'know, a distraction is kinda nice?

[Hiro pokes Marco's cheek.]
I'll even tell you a bedtime story, if you want.

[Marco says that with a bit of a laugh, and he lets go of Hiro's sleeve to rub at his cheek where it was poked.]
Fine, fine. But it has to be a really good story! None of those sissy fairytales-- I want some blood. Some-- some gritty mystery. The good stuff.
cw: cannibalism
[Hiro rolls his eyes and starts reciting something from memory:]
A long, long time ago, there was a farmer. One day, he found a tanuki in his fields - a tanuki is like a racoon, but it can shapeshift - making mischief. Angered, the farmer captured the tanuki and tied it to a tree to deal with later. He returned to working in the fields, but the tanuki decided that a human could not make a fool of him. Pretending to cry, the tanuki called out to the farmer's wife.
"Miss, oh miss! Your cruel husband has tied me to this tree. Please, free me - if you do, I will help you make dinner."
The farmer's wife was a soft-hearted person, so she untied the tanuki but you should never trust a tanuki that a human has wronged. The tanuki jumped at the famer's wife, ripping out her throat and killing her.
"I'll teach that farmer a lesson," the tanuki said.
Using his powers, the tanuki took the form of the farmer's wife and carried her dead body back into the house. Carefully, the tanuki chopped her up into tiny pieces and turned her into a stew. Soon, the farmer came home.
"Ah, darling," the farmer said, "whatever you're cooking smells delightful."
"I made it especially for you," the tanuki said. It served the farmer a bowl of stew. "Eat up, dear."
They ate, the farmer repeatedly telling the tanuki how good the stew was, and the tanuki smiling. When they were finished, the tanuki shifted back into his animal form and watched as the farmer realized what happened.
"I'm so glad you liked the stew," the tanuki said, "because it was made with your wife."
Cackling, the tanuki ran off, leaving the farmer shocked.

i'm just kidding]
Where.... where do you get all this stuff Hiro?
[Honestly Marco looks both disturbed and impressed, if someone can even make an expression that portrays those emotions at the same time. He's sitting up a little bit now, full attention on Hiro rather than y'know laying down for sleep time like he should be.]

[You've ruined him, Hiro.]
