we're not coming home 'til he's dead
[ And he's dead.
The Beast is dead, and Gaston is celebrating. Immediately after the trial he goes to the dining room to decorate, using ideas from Louis' Mardi Gras party, various weddings he's attended, and his own hunting lodge as inspiration. There are candles on the centers of the tables, colorful banners and streamers draped around the room, and of course, antlers on the walls. The tables have tablecloths and real plates and cutlery. The only food available is meat, eggs, and beer, of course, but there's no shortage of any of it, and the meat at least smells amazing.
It's all surprisingly tasteful? At least until you look up to the banner above the buffet table. ]
[ And in smaller letters underneath: ]
THANK YOU PRINCE KIT FOR YOUR SACRIFICE
[ Everyone gets personalized, handwritten invitations shortly after the trial.

[ A lot happened during that trial. ]

[He's a bitter goat, and had it not been for being on good terms with the other Pines and consequences, he'd have chainsaw'd the man (and Gaston as well) right there.]
Anyway, I trust his other family members a lot more. I'm surprised someone like him hasn't killed yet.

[ Lekmet no, do not chainsaw,, ]
As long as we've other members of his clan here, he's the one I least expect to kill--here, at any rate--due to that "one winner" clause. He's not going to kill off two others of his own clan in order to "win" this. At a minimum, should he kill I'd expect him to confess right off--the Pines clan will go together, or not at all.

[He's just being petty, but he'll get over it.]
Of course he won't kill his own kin, that's- that's extreme. He seems more of the self-sacrificing type, or kill-for-revenge. He's got a family member in hell, too.

My point was if he kills anyone here, he won't try to get away with it--if we don't vote for the correct "culprit" by the end of a trial, only the killer is rewarded. "Winning" this game kills all but the one participant. He wouldn't intentionally doom the other two like that.
[ He hadn't heard about this other Pines before. Hm. ] ...I suppose I could see him trying to take out anyone who'd harmed either of the remaining Pines. Heat of the moment sort of thing.

[He knows that Adult Fear all too well, since somehow Marco is now like his son.]
He wouldn't kill to escape alone, he'd- If I were him, I'd accompany his other family member down there...
Ugh. This is dark.

Oh, well, we can't have any of that. It simply doesn't go with all the death and despair at all.
[ Basil, not the time. ]

[The sarcasm totally misses him, oops. Words are tough.]
Ever had a found family you love? It's- it's hard seeing them perish left and right...

The second bit though, ow, that sounds awful? ]
I can't say I've much experience in that area, no. I'm not... the most prone to forming social attachments, shall we say.

it's fine basil you too can learn what it's like to have a heart attack over someone else's kid, wednesday's on its way for you all :)]no subject
Except Gaston, he's no one's. Maybe the weird, spoiled manchild of the bunch no one likes.
[HAHA HE HAS NO IDEA...]

...Gaston is that one cousin. No one's quite certain which branch of the family he's from and no one will own to having included him on the guest list, but he's always on it, and always shows up. Every family function, never fail.
