Seventh Trial

[Once again the stretching room descends and the Hatbox Ghost seems impatient.]

Ugh where's that Serling guy's stupid death elevator when you need it? This is taking forever.

[But soon enough you arrive in the trial room, now with Freddie and Jyn's voodoo dolls on their podiums. And your 100% new friend Hatbox Ghost is there too!] 

If you guys don't all die next week, I'm installing the death elevator.

[Well okay so either she's gunna die or they're all gunna die. Better do one last thing she has to do before the end. So after Leia writes down her vote, Mabel tugs at her robe.]

Grauntie Leia?

[Leia glances down, giving Mabel the biggest smile she can muster, and crouches down so she's on a level with her.

Her niece. She's never had a niece before.]

Yeah, sweetheart?

[Mabel reaches up, but not to hug Leia - not yet at least. She reaches up to her own neck, tugging on a... thin necklace? She pulls it off, and holds it out to Leia.

It's Jyn's kyber crystal. ]

Jyn wanted me to give this to you.

[hasit]

[She knows what it is before Mabel even pulls it out. The crystal; she'd forgotten all about it in her panic and distress.

She takes it, holding the thing in her hand that's the last piece of her world she'll touch, if everything goes sideways right now, and then loops it around her neck. There are tears shining in her eyes as she reaches out to pull Mabel into a tight hug.]
