[A week has gone buy, and nothing really horrifying has happened. Sure it's a crappy amusement park but no one's dead yet! While you're scenario is not great to be in, but you have people to bond with, "fresh air", food, and free Moron Mountain merch! So maybe you have fallen into a sense of security, content to hang out in this terrible theme park until Swackhammer decides to let you go because everyone is too boring for his park.

[so audrey was also in here finding a food, but now she's a bit off to the side, looking very much like a person who's trying to word a very sensitive question but can't quite get it right. she keeps opening her mouth as if to speak, but then psyching herself out and not doing it.]

[She catches notice of Audrey and, after a moment of her not saying anything, decides to break the ice.]

Is something the matter?

[She's just...mildly stunned.]

Have you never seen either of those things before?

I mean, no, not in real life. I've seen a type of chicken, I guess...? [shes

talking about nuggets]

...But you don't know what they look like?

[She's not entirely sure she follows.]

Kind of like this [makes small circle with fingers] but brown and crispy and they come in a box with a smiling penguin wearing sneakers?

[She swallows hard, and her face falls.]

You seem a lot nicer than those, though! [beams] It's very nice to meet you! I've only been around humans my whole life, so even just meeting other species is really an honor!

[She swaps out her nugget-induced despair for surprise.]

Not even pet dogs or cats?

Robotic ones! But, no, nothing real. If it can't be made in a factory, we don't have it.

[She blinks in disbelief.]

There are just...no animals?

[treefetish]

No animals, no plants... Just people and plastic.

[looks. mildly embarrassed.] So, that's why I sometimes have to ask what I am sure are really stupid questions. I've learned some stuff from old books, but not everything.

Well, I've lived behind a barbed wire fence my whole life. You're not alone in a limited view of the outside world.

[She laughs lightly.]

We might be the only two here who've never seen grass before.

I mean, I'd never even seen real dirt before just a few days ago! Everything's always been paved over!

[She nods.]

We had nothing but dirt. You get sick of it after a while.

[But, she understands.]

At least dirt has the potential to grow.

[laughs a bit] Gosh... I hadn't realized how weird I felt until just now. Talking to you almost makes me feel normal.

I feel the same. I didn't expect anyone else to have a similar situation.

[They both still very different, but hey, common ground.]

It's kinda cool, going to a new place like this-- the books always made it sound like going to new places is the best thing you can ever do. I just wish it could've happened without all the, y'know... mortal peril.

Well, I don't know much about books...[Have you ever seen a chicken read?] but I've always dreamed of a new horizon- of breaking out and venturing far, far away from anything I've known...

...it's a shame I ended up here.

We'll just have to venture out even farther once we get out of here! [simple as that]
