[Well finally deaths are starting to happen in this hell park, and for the amount of shitposting this round is, I'll admit I'm pleasently surprised to see how determined people are to make sure this doesn't happen again.

... Not that it'll matter of course, but it's the thought that counts.

But Beetle! Yes him! She shakes her head up and down, hair flailing as she confirms. That's right!]

He and I are from the same place-- we were traveling together. And maybe still will be if we get back in time. I think he knew my father, but he doesn't remember a whole lot about that because of the curse thing.

[Ah yes the curse thing, this is all making sense now. This is totally Beetle's Steven. Centi nods, tapping at her eye-gem. See, she was corrupted-cursed too!]

[Kubo's beginning to realize he's not The Best at charades. He doesn't really have a pen on him for her to write with, though, just paper for the sake of making origami.]

Were you... also... turned into a beetle? Because that seems like a really specific curse.

She makes a diamond sign before miming Beetle's head. Was that what happened to him?]

That's what happened to him, too. He told me he used to be a man. A human. Whatever happened, it changed him to look like that and he forgot who he was before, mostly.

[A human...? Not a gem? That's not what she expected. Maybe he got corrupted by whatever made her like this too.

She makes a diamond shape with both hands, raising it above her head before pointing to herself, then making the Beetle sign, making a questioning gurgle.]

Uhh... diamonds? Something about diamonds. [That's as much as he can really figure out.]

...I don't really know what you're asking, but I don't think Beetle has anything to do with... any sort of gem, actually. He was a samurai.

[Centi gives a frustrated sigh. Mostly because that's as much as she can give. It's all still so blurry to her...the diamond sigil...the blast...

She decides to move past it to give a curious click to that last word. Samurai? What's that?]

You know, a samurai. It's like... a type of warrior. He uses a bow to fight.

[Kubo mimics drawing an arrow back and then releasing it.]

[She repeats the motion before deciding that you know what?

She WANTS one too. Make her a samurai.]

Yeah, you've got it. We don't have any bows here or I could show you how they really work. But maybe if I learn how to make one you could practice with it.
