[Unable to abstain from the opportunity of inflicting violence on Wonka, Ginger lunges at his shins to peck at them with her abominable chicken teeth.]

[Wonka takes the blow with ease, wincing only a little at the sting. He stands his ground, though if Ginger keeps trying, Wonka might have to fight back. And no one wants that.]

Is that all you can do? How pathetic, dear.

[He still has a very tight hold on the talisman, but Ginger can still change that.]

[She can hardly reach up to him, even if she were to jump, but Wonka still has ankles and feet, which she goes for pecking at next.]

[Wonka watches her do this, still not attempting to move away or even show a proper reaction to the pain.

And then, abruptly, he kicks her right in the breastbone. Not hard enough to fracture anything, but definitely enough to take the wind out of someone, especially if they're Ginger's size.]

Whoops. Self defense.

[Ginger gets sent the reasonable amount of distance you'd expect a chicken to go if you kick it.]

Argh!

[She's full of far too much adrenaline to be afraid, and seems to be struggling to her feet for round two.]
