[Perry the Platypus has died. There is no doubt about that. Those of you who were hoping that nobody would give in to the judge's demands have swiftly been proven wrong.

The students are hoarded to the studio lounge once again, where a large door has appeared, seemingly from nowhere. Inside, defying the laws of space and time, is an incredibly large room, bigger than any of the others. It's boring and brown, a perfect courtroom, and seems far more maintained than any of the other rooms.

Three very large framed portraits hang ominously over the whole proceedings. The first depicts an old mansion, decrepit and decaying, with an oddly purple tint. The second features a vintage building, tower-like in size and scope, against the backdrop of a bolt of lightning. The third...is considerably harder to make out. Namely, while a few bits of the picture appear to still hang there, it by-and-large seems to have been torn and clawed at by some very very big claws.

There is a circle of podiums, 27 to be exact, standing around a large bubbling pool of you-know-what. Be careful not to trip, kids. Each of these podiums bears a student's name, a small stool for sitting, and a screen and keyboard. You can guess what those are for, can't you? The podiums for our three minuscule friends come with stairs to reach the top of them, of course. 2 of the podiums stand empty, adorned with mini golden oscar statuettes depicting Edgar Balthazar and Perry the Platypus.]

Once everyone takes their places, Doom appears, sitting at a chair placed in front of the portraits. An ideal place to overlook these proceedings.]

The trial in the case of Perry the Platypus's death shall have very simple rules. You have accumulated enough evidence over the past hours and must now figure out who is responsible. When I call the vote, you shall type in the first and last name of the individual you hold responsible.

[His expression lights up just a little.]

Succeed in accumulating a correct majority vote, and you shall live while the culprit is punished. Should you fail to gather up a majority, or vote incorrectly...

Well. I suppose you'll find out.

[Wendy's frazzled, but who isn't? And while she's trying to remain calm for the sake of everyone, it's equally difficult when they have to look at the bubbling broth of dip in the center of the room.

Is there another way out of this situation? Who knows, but she knew they were going to try.]

It was moved. [He, uh. He sure didn't want to go anywhere near the blood so he had a fun morning.] I didn't really . . . look at it otherwise.

Moved? [This'll get Maui's attention. Maui who is... looking way too big behind his podium and. Squinting at this weird piece of technology.]

There was a trail of blood from the Soundstage, to costume storage, and then to Edgar's room. There were only small splatters at first, but they got bigger as they went along.

Wait, what? So... Did the attack happen in the Soundstage? Where was Perry killed?

Can't say I know. I don't even know if that was his blood, but I guess that's the reason we're doing checks, eh?

[Kim shifts uncomfortably.] Yeah, I checked out the costume place, uhh... There was a lot of blood there. Like, a lot. It was mostly in the middle of the room? Someone tried to like...mop it up with nearby clothes.

Oh, and the place was super messy. Do you think...that could've been the place it all happened?

The room with the costumes? Sounds like there was almost too much blood not to. But that doesn't explain the splattering from the soundstage to there.

Yeah, I didn't want to go in there either, dude. [It wasn't a fun morning for her either.]

So it looks like someone moved it, huh?

Detective Basil found a kitchen knife hidden in the room, covered in blood. Someone had tried to clean it off.

Clean it off...a lot of the clothes had blood on them. You think the killer might have used those to wipe the knife?

It's very possible. And given what Mr. Maui said, they may also have used others to wrap the body in, and the blood soaked through as they approached the bedroom. Who could do this?

So it was just lying there? [gross]

Yes, it was hidden, but not well.

Okay. So, maybe... whoever did this was in a rush?

Quite probably! They must be desperate for that motive, but to risk everything and, and kill someone...

....Well, is the motive really like, that important?

You think there was another reason?

He was stabbed in the head. Given his expression, he was taken completely by surprise. I can estimate his weight at about for or five pounds, which rules out the smallest among us. Unless, of course, they were creative, but the knife would have been fairly big compared to them.

...could it have been dropped on him somehow? The soundstage is set up to look like a kitchen, so if one of them could get onto a counter...

It's possible, but with the information that he was moved, and the nature of the bloodtrail... I do not believe that the two of them could have managed it on their own. They would have likely left drag marks, not drops and spatters.

That or...they probably would have been stuck under him or something, right?

[Unless the mouse and cricket have strength she's unaware of...]

Correct. Either way, with the exception of one of them, they would have trouble moving the body, and in the case of the last one we would have probably found evidence of some contraption used to move said corpse.

So, we're crossing them out? Like, it couldn't be them.

Unless you can explain how they moved a body across multiple rooms without dragging it pr us finding evidence of a contraption, then yes, they are ruled out.
