[Three people are dead in the span of one day. Two of which did absolutely nothing to deserve their gruesome deaths. Hopefully, no matter how silly this hope is, it's the last of the deaths in this hotel.

But maybe it's not all bad now? When people awake this Sunday, they will find that the door for 225 is now open, and for some reason leads to a bunch of cool new rooms to explore! Maybe this would be a great opportunity to bond over each other to make sure no one else dies again.

And no one else will die again, right?

I'm searching for hidden passages.

Sorry? If it helps, you're more likely to find a secret passage on those two walls. [She points in either direction to the shorter walls.] The layout doesn't match up with the first floor in those directions and I think those are the outer walls of the hotel where it tends to just. Extend randomly?

. . . It's not that illogical? [Amanda, your life is illogical. Your opinion doesn't count.] It doesn't look exactly like the one I live in, but it's pretty similar and if there were a hidden passage, I don't think it would be on the wall where our rooms are. Someone probably would have found it by now.

I'm getting desperate. I just don't want another killing to happen.

[On the one hand, he's an adult and she feels like she could actually flat-out state the situation to him. On the other hand, her trust of adults goes about as far as she can throw them here - which isn't that far.]

Can you tell what kind of magic is keeping us here? Or, like, anything about the magic in this place? [That is not her magical area of expertise.] I don't really - my magic is a different kind, so I can't really tell anything about it other than it's there.

[And actually she's guessing about that.]

Whatever it is...it's dark magic. However I can't tell where it's from. It's frustrating!

Are you familiar with voodoo? [Her tone is slightly hushed, because she doesn't want Rod to pop up behind her since he KEEPS DOING THAT.] Because when - the energy surrounding the hotel I lived in was that sort of dark magic and I thought maybe if . . . you could tell what kind of dark magic, we'd have a better clue of who's behind this.

Hmmm... I will have to look into and get back to you. But it will take some time!

I know. Magic is - it's a tricky thing, sometimes. [She's seen enough of it go haywire.] I just thought maybe it might give you something to focus on - not that looking for passageways isn't useful! But you have a skill the rest of us don't, so you can leave the searching to the rest of us and do what you do best.
