Week 3
[Three people are dead in the span of one day. Two of which did absolutely nothing to deserve their gruesome deaths. Hopefully, no matter how silly this hope is, it's the last of the deaths in this hotel.
But maybe it's not all bad now? When people awake this Sunday, they will find that the door for 225 is now open, and for some reason leads to a bunch of cool new rooms to explore! Maybe this would be a great opportunity to bond over each other to make sure no one else dies again.
And no one else will die again, right?
21 guests remain.]
[SUNDAY MONDAY TUESDAY WEDNESDAY THURSDAY]
{ooc: Don't forget to turn in your Week 2 AC by 10/18 @ 1PM EST! There also might be... something tagging around this week. Please let us know if you would like to opt out of it!}

Once he's eaten though, he is absolutely checking out those new rooms, and what ends up getting his attention is the movie room. He can be found sitting in here watching different episodes: One For The Angels, Time Enough At Last... and of course, The Obsolete Man.

With the new rooms opening up, he's inclined to explore. He checks out the pool but does not trust the water. Everything else in the hotel was nasty why wouldn't this be?]
Hmph!
[The wizard moves onto the first aid and janitor's closet. It feels insulting to have these open now. Perhaps they could have saved their friends. Either way, he spends a long time here, searching for anything that might help. He makes it a point to organize what supplies are available in case someone gets hurt.
Finally, he spends time in the ballroom. Something about it seems off to him, but the man is old and crazy so don't overthink it. He walks back and forth along the walls in the room as if searching for something.]

Of course, he ends up wandering to the new section of the hotel after a while, checking out the rooms. He regards the pool for a little while, just standing at the edge, peering into the clear depths of it, hands behind his back.
Please don't push him.But what really catches his attention is... the movie room. You might hear his sound of surprise as he comes across it. Just as soon as he's in here, he's rushing back out towards his room, coming back with a film reel in his arms that only Thalia will probably recognize.

But after that he channels his disappointment into determination and sort of goes on a mission. During the late afternoon he can be found sifting through the cleaning supplies, trying to judge if he can guess what chemicals you use to clean a pool? Don't worry, he probably won't get himself (or anyone else) killed. It's fine.]

At any rate, she's barely surprised when she ends up in the ballroom. She doesn't spend a lot of time in there at first, doing a cursory check of all the other new rooms before she circles back and sits at one of the tables, staring at the ceiling. She's still not quite over the trial, and at least the ballroom is quiet.
While she's doing a check of all the other rooms, Amanda spends the most time in first aid, taking inventory. She . . . has had to learn a lot, over the years, and it's good to at least know what she has to work with. At least Thalia and Reyna can bandage their hands with real bandages now.]

He peeks into each room at least once, but stops to linger more in the first aid room and pool. It's not the same as the ocean, but he feels like he hasn't gone swimming in about a year. Though the pool area is about as well kept as the rest of the hotel, and he's not sure if he would enjoy swimming in water that's been sitting there for who knows how long.
In the other room, he can be found looking through the medications, searching for a particular one. Most of it is over-the-counter, but he's not sure if adrenaline was ever an over-the-counter drug.
He can also be found in the movie room, checking out the (new) movies. Anything is better than Treasure Island, and maybe there are some films he's familiar with.]

At the pool he looks at the stagnant water with disgust]
I bet you'll get sick if you touch this. I'm surprised there aren't lots of bugs already.
[It's a perfect place for mosquitoes, yeah. It's a miracle there aren't any in this hotel.
Later he goes to the penny press. Despite Marnie having found a heart -- thankfully not human heart, he found out later -- he couldn't resist his curiosity anymore and went ahead to receive a few items. Brown feathers, a caramel apple that seems to be edible, and...
...a costume. A costume consisting of a white T-shirt with an electric bolt insignia, a blue jacket, and a white mask and yellow goggles....honestly it looks more like a mix of clothing you'd find in a teenager's closet and less like a superhero costume]
Man, blast from the past!

[Only 16 days until Halloween.
Virgil, at least, seemed confident that she could get home in time, and now there was more of the hotel to explore, which meant more opportunities to find a way out. So she didn't feel good about her situation, but she didn't feel any overwhelming despair, either.
yet.In the meantime, she couldn't let anyone go hungry, so she's at work again preparing meals. Hopefully no one minds their food looking back at them.]
First aid room
[When Sally starts poking around the rest of the second floor, it doesn't take her long to find the first aid room. Her face lights up when she finds a whole bunch of thread and sutures- her stitches were starting to get a little frayed after all of the limb removal she's been doing lately. So she takes some time out of her day to just... stitch herself up a little better.]
The lobby (investigation...?)
[As she's poring over the medical supplies, an idea occurs to her. But it'd only work if she knew where he went.
The last time she saw Finnick was of course, mashed to pieces under the chandelier, and as far as she knows, none of her fellow guests moved him, so he still had to be around there!
So, anyone who happens by the lobby will find a pile of medical supplies (specifically for stitches and setting broken bones) on one of the couches, and Sally looking behind, over, and under everything in search of... something??]

A major point of interest on this lovely Monday is the cleaning supplies room, where she looks about until she finds some ammonia. ] Too little too late, but...oh well. [ While she's there, she might as well take stock of what else they have.
Outside of that, like most of the others, her interest is in the movie room. Nothing modern but...honestly she's looking around for anything with Mickey on it? Oswald said to give him a shot, so...
And last, here she is at the penny press, for more fun. Maybe she'll get another shirt... Or not. That sign is rude, that costume she wants to light on fire, and she doesn't trust any food from this thing... But oh, is that a cell phone? Strange. She clicks it on. Whatever could be on it? ]

[Ratigan was glad to get more space, at least. He hated the feeling of being cooped up for long. And he got the sinking feeling he was getting cooped up for longer than expected.
Sure people died, but that's just what people do. As long as he had Felicia by his side he wouldn't have to worry about the pushovers or his other furry fellows bothering him.
The rat breathed in the expanse of the ballroom. Now there was some space. He soon lackadaisically...swayed. With Felicia just curling up on a chair.]
Cleaning supplies/First Aid
[After his eventual culture shock with the hotel Ratigan realized this place, though dingy and run down, had some technologies rivaling even that of Flaversham's mind.
What more, this collection of materials they simply kept in stock seemed nearly like cure-alls and tonics to him. But he knew they were there for some reason. Which is why he took note of the medicines and supplies whilst riding Felicia's back.]
How fortunate of the host to merely leave these marvels behind, eh Felicia? [Light snickers.] I would almost believe him a genius rivaling Basil (if he had the constitution). [HA.]

MOTIVE: Living Doll
[When the guests arrive in the library, The Narrator is once again already in the room, this time looking at an old doll that one or two of you might recognize contemplatively. Once everyone arrives, he sets the doll down on a nearby desk.]
My benefactor was very satisfied by the events of last week, so motives will now be a common occurrence until further notice.
[He gestures over to the doll.]
This is Talky Tina, a doll that can do anything. She can talk, she can move, she almost appears to be alive.
[Suddenly, as if on cue, the doll moves her head towards the guests.]
She has a bit of a mind of her own, and a short tempered mind at that. She already isn’t fond of you as guests, so I would be careful around her if I were you.
And if no one kills by Friday… well, Talky Tina won’t be happy if that happens.
[ooc: Basically, for those who haven’t seen the episode, Talky Tina will randomly appear around the building, giving them both regular threats and death threats. She is also completely indestructible if anyone gets their hands on her, so no cheating out of this motive!
You can either have her pop up in threads by yourself or we will randomly threadjack threads (unless you want to opt out of threadjacks) with your favorite doll.]

Then she goes to the pool and just kind of. Stares at it. Really?
Okay, fine, she'll just go to the movie room for a while. She found a film reel for... oh hey, it's about Rome at least. How much digging did she have to do to find a movie about Rome? A lot, a lot is the answer. She also watches a couple episodes of The Twilight Zone, but. I can decide those if you want to have characters talking about something that isn't Spartacus.
Finally she goes to the penny press and gets... an odd collection of things. Of course there's a... fun size Athena Parthenos in there, like. Why wouldn't there be? There's also that candle... ]

[Sometime after the motive announcement, Tadashi wanders into the game room. He's acquired a few coins and hasn't tried out the press yet. First thing that comes out is some sort of tube, followed by a carrot-shaped pen and a glass-encased rose.
Well, what's left of a rose. He's going to set it carefully on the nearest table.]
Weird machine. Why am I getting Northwest's stuff?
Kitchen
[If you're hungry and not up for eyes in your food, Tadashi's making lunch. Specifically BLT sandwiches. There are some already made as well as ingredients on the counter if you want to assemble your own.
Or you can help him find something to go with the sandwiches. He's open to suggestions. Or just steal some of the bacon.]

[SOMEONE PLEASE STOP HIM BEFORE HE TRIES TO DRINK THIS
After kitchen disaster is hopefully averted, he can be found in the ballroom some papers spread around him. Seems he’s drawing pictures of all the living at the moment, writing their names on the pages, and some things he remembers from the bio. Then, carefully, he adds the pages to the journal he’s been carrying everywhere. He seems very into what he’s doing, so scaring him? Might be easier than you think.]

[It's no surprise to Belle that she's ended up spending much of her time in the library. With so much new technology to learn about, she's ended up trying to glean as much information as she can from the books the hotel has on its library shelves. She's got her notebook set next to her, open, with myriad notes, scribbles, and drawings, as if she's trying to puzzle out some of the things she's reading about herself.
She might...not realize exactly how long she's been in here; sitting in the middle of the floor, she's nearly obscured by the piles of books she's taken down from the shelves and cross-referenced in her research. She also likely won't notice if anyone comes in unless they're making quite a lot of noise...]
Game Room
[Belle's first try at the penny press had been...interesting, to say the least. She'd pulled out a pile of clothes and a strange blonde hairpiece, and a necklace with some sort of rock attached. This time turns out to be a whole lot more fruitful. The first thing to come out is...]
A cat...?
[A black cat, to be precise; it shakes itself, looking understandably grumpy, and then winds around Belle's ankles a few times. The second thing to come out is a rolled-up painting of Preston and what she can only are his wife and daughter. She gazes sadly at the image of the young blonde girl for a long moment, before rolling it back up and setting it aside.
Next is what appears to be a croquet mallet in the shape of a pink flamingo, which is as baffling as it is amusing. Next is actually something familiar: her blue dress, which she hugs to her for a moment, clinging to any remnant of home. Then comes...a plate of spaghetti, which she supposes she should likely avoid eating, considering it might be poisoned. Last comes an empty clay pot that reads 'HUNNY']
...Someone didn't study their spelling very hard.

Later in the day, though, is when he finally decided to give that Penny Press a try. The end result is him standing among some odd trinkets that he earned from the few coins he collected. One thing does seem to stand out, and it's a small little, cartoon-shaped heart he's holding in the palm of his hand. Just... looking at it.
You might hear a small annoyed grunt.]

Thursday
Announcement
[The Narrator is already the library, looking unusually serious.]
I’ve come to the realization that there’s a man who’s been speaking to some of you in your dreams. Someone who claims to be helping everyone and “only has the best interest in you” [He fingersquotes to emphasize his point.] and refers to himself as “Walt”.
That man is lying to you, and if you know what’s good for you, I would ignore him at all costs. Walt is a highly dangerous man. He knows exactly what to say to get you on his side, but don’t listen to a single word that comes out of his mouth. He is a snake who will backstab you the moment he gets what he wants, and I dread to think what he has in store for all of us.
I am well aware that most of you don’t trust me, but please believe me when I say he’s not someone you want to interact with. I am all too aware of the man he really is.
[He is going to stick around after the announcement, but he seems unusually upset today.]
