[Three people are dead in the span of one day. Two of which did absolutely nothing to deserve their gruesome deaths. Hopefully, no matter how silly this hope is, it's the last of the deaths in this hotel.

But maybe it's not all bad now? When people awake this Sunday, they will find that the door for 225 is now open, and for some reason leads to a bunch of cool new rooms to explore! Maybe this would be a great opportunity to bond over each other to make sure no one else dies again.

And no one else will die again, right?

Then clearly Dipper has mislead you on my photo-taking skills.

[Well, as a matter of fact, she might be able to sneak a peak at one of the more recent photos that is indeed a selfie: Joshua, crammed together with four other teenagers trying to fit on the screen. The photo taken before this one has just the other four without him, and from the look of things, it's a regular photo Joshua took before they noticed and insisted on having him get into a group shot with them.]

[ Her face softens. Here, Joshua. ]

...Looks pretty nice. Never had a cell phone, you know. Is there a style to taking selfies?

[Thanks Thalia. Joshua tries to open a few apps and the phone dial, but it looks like we are out of service here. At least there's still battery and a working camera.]

The most important thing is to not be too critical of how you look. The point of a selfie is appreciating and reminding yourself about how you were a part of that moment that you wanted to capture.

...That's actually really deep? What the heck.

Is it really so surprising to hear me say something like that?

[I mean, he has been alive for a long time, naturally he's capable of saying deep shit when he wants to.]

It's not you, exactly, it's the subject! I didn't think anyone would have something close to philosophical to say about selfies.

Anything and everything can have a meaning to it if you're willing to look for one.

[There's a pause, before Joshua holds up his phone.]

[He's going to take a picture of you if that's cool with you.]

Uh. Okay...? Yeah.

[ A selfie, then, sure. Smile! ]

Excellent. See, it turned out perfect.

[It is... well, it's what you expect of a selfie, but at least they look decent in it.]

...Never actually taken a selfie before. That was...kind of fun.

Isn't it? We'll have to find more opportunities to take pictures while we're here.

[... He kind of wishes he had gotten a picture of Vanellope before last week, but there's no use lamenting that fact now.]

Then clearly our first order of business after we find a way out of this hotel is to buy you one. What color do you see yourself taking snapshots with?

[ Sheepish. ] That's...kind of an impossibility, actually. The monsters I fight? They can usually detect signals.

It's just life. There's worse disadvantages.
