Week 3

[Three people are dead in the span of one day. Two of which did absolutely nothing to deserve their gruesome deaths. Hopefully, no matter how silly this hope is, it's the last of the deaths in this hotel.

But maybe it's not all bad now? When people awake this Sunday, they will find that the door for 225 is now open, and for some reason leads to a bunch of cool new rooms to explore! Maybe this would be a great opportunity to bond over each other to make sure no one else dies again.

And no one else will die again, right?

Not yet - but I'm still looking! I think I'm gonna try to get everyone to meet again so we can compare what we've found.

[shakes head] No, nothing. I feel like there might be clues in The Twilight Zone... But, I'm not even sure what I should be looking for.

It'd help if we knew more about it, but it's not like Mister Narrator's helping at all. [What with his...ramblings.]

Well, it's a vague kind of thing; it's more like a metaphor than an actual, physical location. I think it might be similar to Halloweentown.

...how does that work? I mean, we're here, right?

Well, think about what twilight literally is: the moment between day and night. So, imagine that feeling, where it's not quite the day but not yet the night, but as a place. Somewhere where things that wouldn't make sense in the real world start to make sense. Like being half-asleep, with dream logic taking over reality.

... It's like that. [it's where you monologue about nothing]

But...it's still there. Maybe it's in the middle, but it's still there. That's silly to think something does and doesn't make sense! I bet that we just have to look at this from another angle, like with Cassandra!

It's not silly at all! [IT'S BASICALLY HOW HALLOWEENTOWN WORKS???] It's supposed to be surreal-- like a dream, but real life.

... Cassandra the prophet?

If this was a dream, we could change things, right? And if it's not- well, we can still change them, just like her visions! I wouldn't be here today if we couldn't.

Wait, you know her? [He looks up at her in surprise] I didn't think she talked to humans...

Well, she is human, isn't she? She was an ancient Greek princess cursed by Apollo so no one ever believed her visions, even though they were always right...

-- Wait, is this another thing where you guys are clearly based on something but you've never even heard of the original? Like Donald with his "Uncle Scrooge?"

...no. She was herself. A gypsy seer moth we met at a carnival. Some of the weirdest days of my life, and I've seen a lot!

Yyyyeeeeeeep. I didn't believe it, either. I bet if we never even saw her, we wouldn't have thought twice about what happened afterwards.

If you let someone decide for you how things are gonna be, well, you may as well have given up! [He smacks his fist in to his palm] Every single one of her predictions came true, and we thought for sure I was a goner! But I got through it then, and I'm gonna get through it now, and I'm gonna help all of you get through it with me!

I mean, not every Twilight Zone ended badly. Some of them had pretty happy endings! That means we can, too, right?

Well, I- hey, how come you know so much about the Twilight Zone?

I've watched tons of reruns!
