Week 3

[Three people are dead in the span of one day. Two of which did absolutely nothing to deserve their gruesome deaths. Hopefully, no matter how silly this hope is, it's the last of the deaths in this hotel.

But maybe it's not all bad now? When people awake this Sunday, they will find that the door for 225 is now open, and for some reason leads to a bunch of cool new rooms to explore! Maybe this would be a great opportunity to bond over each other to make sure no one else dies again.

And no one else will die again, right?

[SUNDAY MONDAY TUESDAY WEDNESDAY THURSDAY]

{ooc: Don't forget to turn in your Week 2 AC by 10/18 @ 1PM EST! There also might be... something tagging around this week. Please let us know if you would like to opt out of it!}

And what is your life like, if you don't mind my asking?
fairlypushy: (fairly awkward)

Being here is the first time I've actually slept in five or six years. Normally when my human body falls asleep, I turn into a hologram. It's . . . almost more bizarre to fall asleep and wake up well-rested.

Really now... I don't think I've ever heard of something like that happening to someone before.
fairlypushy: (fairly unconvinced)

It's the only way a human can see a Toon, and it's my job to protect them so . . . the Imagineers turned us into human-hologram hybrids.

[She says this like she's discussing the weather and not like it's the horrifying body horror it is.]

The hybrid part was a slight mistake, though. Our consciousness was just supposed to be transferred to the hologram. We weren't actually supposed to become holograms.
lusito: (how exactly does one give "a fuck")

[what the fuck level is kingdom keepers on]

That's quite the mistake for them to have made.

It's a bug in the technology. They fixed it, but - [It made the DHIs too powerful and the people in charge were afraid of that.] - Philby can't cross us over unless we're in 1.6, so we don't use 2.0 that often.
lusito: (little by little)

[personal profile] lusito 2017-10-19 11:28 pm (UTC)(link)
I see. I suppose that's better than not doing anything about it.
fairlypushy: (fairly neutral)

[personal profile] fairlypushy 2017-10-19 11:42 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm pretty sure they only fixed it because they were afraid of the power it gave us. You save the world a couple times and people in charge get afraid. [Even though technically the Kingdom Keepers are doing them a favor.] . . . That and in some ways, we're more trouble than we worth.
lusito: (crystals)

How so? After all, you seem to be a find upstanding citizen to me.
fairlypushy: (fairly resigned)

We disagree on what needs to be prioritized. [Disney doesn't always think saving the world is important.] Also they're mad about the time travel.
lusito: (in all seriousness though)

[personal profile] lusito 2017-10-21 04:12 am (UTC)(link)
My, do I want to know what you were using time travel for?
fairlypushy: (fairly upset)

[personal profile] fairlypushy 2017-10-22 07:22 am (UTC)(link)
We had to fix something, make sure it happened. [Basically they had to make a stable time loop.] Otherwise we - everything would fall apart.
lusito: (if you're a dancer in the streets...)

[personal profile] lusito 2017-10-22 07:29 am (UTC)(link)
In other words, you had to take part in an event that would keep the timeline from diverging down a different route. [...] So how did that turn out, if you don't mind my asking?
fairlypushy: (fairly resigned)

[personal profile] fairlypushy 2017-10-22 07:32 am (UTC)(link)
I don't know. [She's not being shady, that's literally the answer.] I only know what happened before I got on the carousel - when we came back, I woke up here.
lusito: (cold cake)

[personal profile] lusito 2017-10-22 07:34 am (UTC)(link)
... Well, that's rather inconvenient, finding oneself here before you could find out whether or not any changes had been made.
fairlypushy: (fairly neutral)

[personal profile] fairlypushy 2017-10-22 07:44 am (UTC)(link)
It might be more accurate to say I don't remember. I have vague memories of things that have happened, but it's like something that happened to someone else.
lusito: (what's on my shoulder)

[personal profile] lusito 2017-10-22 07:48 am (UTC)(link)
Ah, I see. [Hmm] I think I can understand what you mean now.
