Week 3

[Three people are dead in the span of one day. Two of which did absolutely nothing to deserve their gruesome deaths. Hopefully, no matter how silly this hope is, it's the last of the deaths in this hotel.

But maybe it's not all bad now? When people awake this Sunday, they will find that the door for 225 is now open, and for some reason leads to a bunch of cool new rooms to explore! Maybe this would be a great opportunity to bond over each other to make sure no one else dies again.

And no one else will die again, right?

In my defense, usually my hands can take a little more punishment. ...And usually demigods have food and drink to heal us up better.

I'll be more careful. If he'd give me a proper training room...

What sort of foods?

[He's going to apply the bandages in a quasi-muay thai wrap, only without the wrist bandaging. Then she can punch more things if she desires.]

And I'll use a training room if one ever appears. I don't want to get rusty enough that my brother can kick my butt.

You have a brother? Older or younger?

Younger. He just turned 14 recently. Name's Hiro.

[He kind of wishes the kid were here, but at the same time, he doesn't want to deal with the possibility of finding Hiro's body.]

Hiro. What a name. So...how much older are you than him, then? Four, five years? What an age gap.

[ Her face has softened; talking about little brothers, it's one of her favorite topics now. ]

[This works out well; Tadashi likes talking about his brother.]

...More like 'Troublemaker'. He's too smart for his own good and entirely willing to use that intelligence for evil.

[He's only slightly mad about this.]

[ She laughs in surprise. ]

That's a statement. "Evil." What kind of evil does this Hiro subscribe to?

[ Flexing her knuckles, ahhh, that's much better. ]

[tadaishi]

Nothing really horrible. Just underhanded. He got us both arrested once--him for illegally gambling and me for being an accessory to the crime--and our aunt had to bail us out.

[ She whistles, low. ]

Impressive... Maybe he could use those smarts for the greater good. Is he bored?

[tadaishi]

I'm hoping. He was against going to college at first because he didn't want to have people 'tell him things he already knew', but I showed him the robotics lab and he seems to have warmed up to the idea.

[sentree]

College already? Whoa! You weren't kidding when you said he was smart, man! [ She flexes her hands and- oh, she should put the bandages back. ] ...School's not for everyone, but if a kid like him finds something to put his mind to... He's gonna go far.

[tadaishi]

He'll go extremely far once he finds something.

[Something legal, anyway.]

Do you have any siblings? I could talk about Hiro for way too long...I'd like to hear about your family.

[ She nods, a little smile. ]

My family's Jason. He's my little brother. He's...gods, he's perfect. A little too fighty, gets himself into too many jams- but I wouldn't... I wouldn't trade him for the world.

[tadaishi]

Ah, always fun when you have to rescue your younger sibling.

[Shared pain!]

Jason? One of the Argonauts?

That is who he was named for- but no, not that Jason. Just my brother. ...You know, he's gotten so many concussions lately he needs glasses now? Saving the world's a tricky business.
