SECOND TRIAL

[When the investigation is done, the door to the boiler room once again opens, with the elevator doors readily awaiting the remaining guests. Like last time, once everyone is buckled in, the elevator moves backwards and then up, with The Narrator’s voice echoing in.]

Dipper and Merlin, despite their age difference, had a lot in common. They both are fascinated in science, the unusual, and an escape out. Last night, they decided to stay up late, only to both find out that they are forever in an eternal slumber. And they’ll soon learn that they’ll be stuck in a never ending nightmare called… The Twilight Zone.

[Once again the elevator stops abruptly.]

You are about to discover what lies beyond the fifth dimension. Beyond the deepest, darkest corner of the imagination… in the Tower of Terror.

[Did you expect the elevator not to drop again? Because too bad, the elevator drops again. After a few more drops, it once again stops at the top floor, The Tip Top Club.

The soft music fills the room and the Tip Top Club looks almost the same as it was last week. Except now Preston, Finnick, Merlin, and Dipper’s pictures on the wall are also in grayscale. The Narrator is still sitting on the stage, but he is now sitting in the chair like a normal human being. In his hands there is the all-too-familiar Talky Tina, that The Narrator is thoughtfully looking over. When the guests enter the club, he finally looks up.]

Welcome again to the trial room, everyone. I hope you remember all the rules from last week, but if you need a refresher I may explain the rules again.

I don't know, I.... I couldn't handle it-- Another kid dead!
I have a son for gawrsh sake! I didn't know what to do! It was too overwhelming!

[OKAY JUST...think, Chip, be the detective. Yeah, it's upsetting, but-]

I went and looked for evidence-- To see if I could figure out anythin'! I couldn't just leave the kid be.. That'd be too cruel...

We've barely scratched the surface. [ ...Never mind the fact she's having trouble following all of this-- ] We can't start jumping to conclusions immediately.

Thalia is right. We should...stop throwing accusations and look at all of the evidence.

I've... there's still this piece of fabric. It was on the scissors. If that's what was used to kill Merlin- if we can find someone who's missing part of their clothes, it could tell us for sure who handled the murder weapon.

Then perhaps we ought to check over everyone's clothes. I can...look over the women, again.

I can check everyone else, I guess...

[It's highly likely that whoever handled the scissors would've changed their clothes, but it's still worth checking if it opens up other possibilities, he figures.]

[His t-shirt was white when he first arrived, but quickly became gross and he ditched it a week ago. Right now, he's wearing a green t-shirt, and it, his jacket, and pants are all damp but intact.]

[ Well... Thalia's wearing the same white shirt she was last week, but it's cut off roughly so it's become a belly shirt. However-- ]

I've been wearing this since Monday. It...got blood on it, after Finnick, so...I salvaged it.

[Sally's dress is nothing BUT rags, and who knows if there were white scraps on it or not.]
