Week 5
[Five deaths in one week, and almost half of the guests have died now. The Narrator is now claiming that the man who's trying to save all the guests is a cold-hearted killer, and he doesn't seem to be lying about this. But on the other hand, that doesn't explain why he continues to do any of this, or if he's even an entirely good guy here.
Whether you like it or not, tension is becoming unusually high in this hotel now.
But hey, at least you get a nice new floor to tide you over.
13 guests remain]
[SUNDAY MONDAY TUESDAY WEDNESDAY THURSDAY]
{ooc: Don't forget to fill in this week's Activity Check! The deadline is 11/01 @ 1 PM EST!}

Later on, he wanders upstairs to check out the new rooms. Though he makes note of what's in all of them, he's most interested in two of them.]
The music room is less interesting and more...oddly nostalgic. Also dusty. Someone should get on that, or else the instruments will start to fall apart. And the piano...he feels the edge of it, as if searching for something.]
No teeth.
[Huh?]
In the gym, he can be found practicing kata. Care to interrupt or watch? He won't mind.]

Re: music room
[He indicates the edge where the lid meets the body of the piano.]
What brings you here?

[Still, Joshua comes closer as he inspects the keys, before reaching out to tap one of them in interest, listening for a moment before trying other keys.]
... Hmm. Could use some cleaning, but it doesn't sound like there's any broken wires inside.
no subject
That seems to be the theme of the place: extremely dusty, but not broken. You know how to play a piano?
no subject
Indeed. Though I must admit, it's been a while since I last had the chance to play.
no subject
[Though this doesn't stop him from picking up a lute while Joshua's testing out the piano's keys.]
no subject
For some, that doesn't really matter. It's simply about enjoying the moment when playing music.
no subject
[He plucks a few strings on the lute. What is he even doing?]
Unless you're trying to make money. Then you might want some actual skill.
no subject
[For a moment, Joshua simply looks at the piano keys in front of him. Then he takes a breath, and begins to play something a little faster in pace.]
no subject
Hey, you are pretty good.
no subject
[That said, he seems... brighter somehow? Almost glowing, even, with pride perhaps as he continues to play here.]

I'm glad to see that the worry over your hand turned out to be for nothing.
no subject
Hah...you and me both. I thought everyone was going to try to pin the blame on me just because of that.
[It certainly didn't help that Thalia was the one who would've been best able to clear him.]
Sleep okay?
no subject
[She starts to help herself to some food—not a whole lot. Just enough to get something in her stomach. And tea, of course. She waggles a hand.]
I've slept better. I've begun to have the most horrible nightmares...
[Unsurprisingly.]
no subject
[It might make her feel slightly better?]

It's hard to explain, but...it's a rose. A rose, encased in glass. And the petals have all fallen, except for one. And all I see is that last petal, hanging from its very last thread...threatening to fall.
[She gives a humorless laugh.]
I know it doesn't sound very frightening. But...given the context, it's incredibly painful.
no subject
[But that description...]
A...a red rose? Encased in a glass bell?
no subject
Yes, that's right...how did you know?
no subject
[Probably not, if it's a source of trauma.]
no subject
R...really? Has the last petal not fallen from it?

Music Room
[What, you see pianos with teeth often or what?]
Re: Music Room
Right? On the upside, it would be difficult to steal.
