Week 5
[Five deaths in one week, and almost half of the guests have died now. The Narrator is now claiming that the man who's trying to save all the guests is a cold-hearted killer, and he doesn't seem to be lying about this. But on the other hand, that doesn't explain why he continues to do any of this, or if he's even an entirely good guy here.
Whether you like it or not, tension is becoming unusually high in this hotel now.
But hey, at least you get a nice new floor to tide you over.

Later on, he wanders upstairs to check out the new rooms. Though he makes note of what's in all of them, he's most interested in two of them.]
The music room is less interesting and more...oddly nostalgic. Also dusty. Someone should get on that, or else the instruments will start to fall apart. And the piano...he feels the edge of it, as if searching for something.]
No teeth.
[Huh?]
In the gym, he can be found practicing kata. Care to interrupt or watch? He won't mind.]

Please stop by my room sometime today so I can take your measurements!
-Sally
Now, what is she up to? In Room 210, she's ready and waiting with measuring tape. There's a pile of clothes from the coat closet haphazardly tossed onto her bed, and what appears to be a folded letter on the nightstand. Her closet door is slightly askew, just enough for anyone to see the photo of Jack and the candles around it.]

I got your message: what would you like our measurements for, if you don't mind my asking?

Later on, Oswald seemed to briefly disappear into the Crafts room, rushing around the room, grabbing various things and laying them out on the table. It's all for a large sheet of paper that he lays out on the table. It's a little crude but he's working with what he has. Seems he just needs to put some finishing touches on it...
In the evening, after most people have gone to bed, or should have, Oswald could be found in the movie room. Sitting in one of the chairs, feet up on another one as he rewatches Oh What A Knight for the dozenth time. It doesn't seem to bring him as much joy as it used to, or it seems that he's not even paying attention to it at times.]

Incredible!
[It's...just too bad she's never used a weapon in her life. But that's not stopping her from swinging it around experimentally, as if to confront an attacker from behind, jabbing it forward inexpertly, but not without enthusiasm. It seems Thalia's final gift to her was more than just protection. It was stealth, too. She'll learn to use it, if it's the last thing she does.
Later, she tucks the canister into her dress pocket and retreats to the dining room, where she settles at one of the tables with some of the items she'd received from the penny press the week before. It reminds her of what Thalia had always done, actually, but her main purpose in bringing everything out is not only to hopefully find their owners, but to catalogue them in her notebook, too. If she ever makes it home...she'd quite like to remember some of the incredible things she's seen.]

Tuesday
MOTIVE: It's a Good Life
Good day everyone. Unlike last week’s motive, if the conditions are met, instead of losing something dear to you, you will gain something that you desperately want or need in life. It doesn’t matter if it’s a physical desire or an emotional desire, if you kill someone this week and get away with it, we can grant it.
And luckily for you, only one person has to die this week.
[The Narrator disappears again. Inside each envelope is a message detailing your character's deepest desire.
However, on the back of each card something else written down.]
Please meet me in the chapel at 2 PM. I have something very important to tell you.
I ask that you don’t verbally discuss this until the meeting starts. If you are worried, check the backs of each other motive cards. They all have this message on it.
[Huh, what's that about?]

Later that day...
Good afternoon, I hope that your day has treated you well.
[He moves to close the chapel doors.]
I’ll cut to the chase about all of this. I called you here for one thing and one thing only:
I want to help you escape.

THIS IS HALLOWEEN
Once everyone is in costume, Sally appears, standing at the door labelled 225, along with a spooky scarecrow. Her own costume is pretty simple so not to detract from everyone else's, though she is also wearing cat ears and a tail. When everyone's gathered, she gives them a mischievous smile and slowly opens the door.]
Boys and girls of every age, wouldn't you like to see something strange...?
[She disappears through the doorway. Following her, they'll find themselves in a disorienting maze where everything seems to glow. Streamers and balloons hang from above, forcing everyone (well, maybe not Chip and Ratigan) to push past them to proceed.
Once they escape the maze, they'll find themselves in the rest of the ballroom, which doesn't look much like a ballroom anymore. Oh, sure, there's still room for dancing, but if they look around they may spot the the shadow of the moon at night or something under the tables with teeth ground sharp and eyes glowing red. Oh, and watch out for the snake. (it's not real, but still.)
And of course, what celebration would be complete without a masterful spread of treats? Everything is ready and waiting at the tables, so eat, drink*, and be scary!
*but there's no alcohol. Sorry, Ratigan.]

Later, she retreats to the library, where she's set up the Enchantress's rose in its cloche on one of the side tables. One petal still clings to it, something that makes her dare to hope that things aren't as bad as she thought...even though she knows in her heart that it can't be. She sits near it, cross-legged in an oversized armchair, paging through the book in her lap. Every so often, her fingers dart out absentmindedly to graze across the crystalline glass cover, as if comforting herself that it's still safe.]
