Week 5
[Five deaths in one week, and almost half of the guests have died now. The Narrator is now claiming that the man who's trying to save all the guests is a cold-hearted killer, and he doesn't seem to be lying about this. But on the other hand, that doesn't explain why he continues to do any of this, or if he's even an entirely good guy here.
Whether you like it or not, tension is becoming unusually high in this hotel now.
But hey, at least you get a nice new floor to tide you over.
13 guests remain]
[SUNDAY MONDAY TUESDAY WEDNESDAY THURSDAY]
{ooc: Don't forget to fill in this week's Activity Check! The deadline is 11/01 @ 1 PM EST!}

Later on, Oswald seemed to briefly disappear into the Crafts room, rushing around the room, grabbing various things and laying them out on the table. It's all for a large sheet of paper that he lays out on the table. It's a little crude but he's working with what he has. Seems he just needs to put some finishing touches on it...
In the evening, after most people have gone to bed, or should have, Oswald could be found in the movie room. Sitting in one of the chairs, feet up on another one as he rewatches Oh What A Knight for the dozenth time. It doesn't seem to bring him as much joy as it used to, or it seems that he's not even paying attention to it at times.]
movies!
[Tadashi was on the way back to his room when he hears music coming from next door and decides to check it out. He doesn't sit down yet, having watched the last half of the short film from the doorway.]

It was one of my favorite cartoons. Also one of the first ones I worked with Ortensia in.
no subject
Ortensia? That's the girl, right?
no subject
She's my wife, you know? And one of the first people to go to Wasteland after I got there.
[He sinks a bit into his seat, sighing.] I wonder how she's doing.
no subject
I didn't know you were married. How long have you been together?

Crafts room
Ostown? You got a town named after you, or is that some other Oswald?
no subject
So, he's totally jumping out of his skin.]
Yipe! [He whips around.] Donald? Wha... when did you get here?
no subject
Just barely! Maybe a minute ago! Or two minutes ago. I was just going to check out the room, that's all. Sorry if I interrupted.

[Well, now that he's actually gotten the chance to collect himself, and stop his heart from exploding, Oswald can look Donald in the eyes now. At least this isn't anything serious.]
No, it's fine, you didn't know, I get it. [He shakes his head.] I was just... putting the finishing touches on this map of Wasteland.
no subject
[...not-so subtly attempting to peer past Oswald to glance at it again.]
Wasteland, huh? Not the most flattering name for a place.
no subject
...I was making it for Thalia, she wanted me to explain all the parts of Wasteland to her.
[...For what it's worth, he'll let Donald easily get a look at it.]

Your home? Looks... nice. [Okay, so some of the locations sound a little gloomy from their names, but every city has its flaws.] The Rainbow Caverns— is that name literal? That sounds like something Scrooge would love to see.
[The next bit gives him pause, though. He’s not great at the whole comforting thing but... he’ll Attempt.]
...I’m sorry, Oswald. But, you know, she could still be watching us from... wherever. [She was a demigod— maybe she was turned into a constellation, though he’s not sure that that’s a real thing or just a myth. He’d never gotten to ask all the questions he had.] And I bet she’d really love to see it.
no subject
Yeah, it... looks a lot better now then it did a while ago. [Honestly though, the Wasteland from a few decades ago looks as different from the current one as night and day.
...Donald. You're looking at a guy who's gone through Night on Bald Mountain. Still, his attempt does earn a small smile.]
Thanks Donald. I kind of hope that too. I was working on it last week. [And, well, he almost got it done.] I think Scrooge would like the Rainbow Caverns, it's the place that supplies the whole of Wasteland with power and paint.

Paint and thinner. [He vaguely points over at the Thinner Sea on the map.] What's that about? You guys just really big into art or something?
no subject
Well, except for us, of course. And anything that's inert.

Not everything's made of paint. There's other things, like machines and other inert materials. It's just... Paint is kind of magic where I'm from.
no subject
Your world sounds a lot more interesting than mine. I guess we've got magic, too, but nothing like magic paint... er, not that I know of.
