Final trial
[After everyone is done investigating/disabling an alien, they will hear a quiet click near the staircase. When they approach the staircase, they will find that there’s a whole new set of stairs, going even further down.
The stairs go deep down, and it takes while before there’s any end in sight, but eventually they reach door. Behind it is a large, completely gray room. If it weren’t for the massive table and strange podium sitting in the middle of the room, the guests would be instantly shocked by how empty it is otherwise. But the feeling of emptiness grows the longer they stay in the room.
The door closes behind them when they all enter the room. If they look, there is a similarly gray tv set sitting at the end of the table, right in front of the podium. Despite it’s age, there is a VHS player connected to it.
Well it sure is lucky you have a VHS tape on you, right?]

Suddenly, a figure can be seen from within the darkness. If there was any doubt about what's coming out is bad, an unseen foot kicks the figure out into the light.
It's John. He's missing one arm of his arms, torn off by a clean slice, and his eyes are nothing more than lifeless plastic. His body is heavily charred and burnt, revealing a full set of robotic innards. The body only stays upright for a second before falling to the ground with a large thud.
A quieter pair of footsteps follows.]
2/2
[An elderly man walks out from behind the robotic body, now laying on the floor. He takes a special note to step on the robot's skull as he walks by, making sure to crush it into the ground. He hunches over on one side, clearly unhinged, with a deranged look in his eyes. The other holds an oil-stained sword, one that might almost be too heavy for him.
Something about him is...off. Unhuman. Like a man without a soul.]
Do you realize the consequences of what you've done?! The damnation you have sentenced yourselves too? NONE OF YOU ARE FREE OF SIN!

[He doesn't think about this man and how dangerous he might be. He doesn't think of any repercussions of what would happen if he even attempts to move from his spot right now.
He just runs over to John's body without a second thought.]

No?
Welp. Virgil has the feeling it's too late for any last minute preparations. He just tenses up, ready to fight or flee]
